like a student who cut his class for some leisure, so am i right now in our church. whoa! i just felt it that i don't like to go to our service today because of some reason but one of those is just to hang here in front of this computer and watch some korean drama. and now, after some time, i realized that this is really wrong. seeking first other thing than the Kingdom of God. and now i feel so convicted... is this ok?

I'm a Christian, so I feel for you. I feel compelled to attend church each Sunday myself, for after all the Bible tells us not to stop assembling together, for fellowship, accountability, building up and so on. It's spiritually unwise not to go to church. But as long as you go next week, I wouldn't worry too much. I've stayed away for several weeks in the past, but by about the 3rd, I can feel really sad if I don't go, like I'm letting God down. But God loves us and is merciful. As long as you don't stay away...all is fine. Just go next week. perhaps you could say sorry to God; He'll understand. We are all only human.

Amen. I felt it, too, when I failed to attend Sunday church service as if I committed a sin.

i consistently go to our church every sunday but today was our midweek service, and this time, i made an unreasonable alibi just not to attend so. will it still be ok?

Of course it will: you are feeling bad for a while because you feel convicted you let God down a little: which means you are truly His. And God is so incredibly loving towards those who are His. Just say sorry to Him and His forgiveness is immediate and total. It's really hard to believe how forgiving He is towards us. But He is.

If u r a mature christian you will feel the conviction of not attending church Sunday service. There are times we cannot avoid not to attend church service because we prioritize more on personal things rather than the things of God. we cannot reason out to God that we are only human because God has given us His spirit so we will be able to fight the flesh. It is good you feel the conviction which means the Spirit of God is with you. Yes it is ok to feel convicted.

Mar, there are bad hair days, but even that is no reason to skip sabbath day. I remember a story of an 80 year old woman who was found walking amidst the blizzard. When asked why she was risking her life, she answered, there's nothing that can keep me away from my date with God.

Church service? Are you a catholic? I, for one also do church service as a choir memier. If i feel like doing something else, i would text a choirmate and tell them that i need to attend to a personal matter so that the mass wont be affected.

I am a Christian even though I don't step foot into a building I still listen to the word of our LORD through the internet. http://www.shepherdschapel.com/index.htm Going to church where the real word of the LORD isn't any good. I used to go to a church building but never felt like I learned anything about God. I heard a few scriptures and then the preacher would get off on some other topic. I kept listening though thinking soon he will be back to telling of Gods word. But he would talk the rest of the time about his life. So I quit trying. I have been to every church around me and none stay on Gods word the whole time I was there. This teacher teaches Gods word not what is going on in his life. He teaches chapter by chapter verse by verse. Don't feel guilty go listen to this man and you will be in church.
