questions related to divorce in the Philippines have been raised these days.it's been in the news and people are very affirmative on this topic. to date, divorce is not allowed in the Philippines. However, there are certain instances wherein the divorce secured abroad by the foreigner-spouse, and even by former Filipinos, are recognized under Philippine laws. now it's been talked about in the congress. if passed, i can see conflicts on national principle, the church and the non believers of long time marriage but couple staying unhappy. the church definitely would not support this. count me in for not allowing it. how about you especially my fellow countrymen?

I really love to have the divorce bill to get approve by Philippines law makers and I would really applaud if this bill get a majority vote to be pass in both congress and senate. Most women should be happy about this and this give them freedom to get out from a troubled marriage with proper reasoning. Women should not say on abusive marriage and live a miserable life with irresponsible husband. This includes being involve in adultery, being financially irresponsible, always give pain to the wives by hitting them physically and included verbal abuse. I am a lover of freedom and having a divorce in the Philippines is like a gift for both women and men troubled by their marriages to end it easily unlike annulment which is very costly and expensive.

Personally, I'm not a fan of divorce. I feel that if it is legalized, then couples will not think marriage through before entering. Without the divorce law, people will think twice or thrice before entering into a marriage. We have to understand the importance of marriage before entering into it. if divorce is legalized, we will not give it much thought. I'd rather they legalize the RH bill first before tackling divorce.
