Hello Lotters, It's just pure unacceptable and really really sad that my favorite milk fish had been part of the very annoying FISH KILL Not only that from 95 Pesos the price had been drop down literally for a bargain price of 35 Pesos per Dipper. we bought some sea food and cooked but never the milk fish. now, my home province's livelihood is in peril because nobody wants to buy them because of the possible BOTCHA (double dead) fish. Has anyone bought a milkfish yet? and it's sad that Tilapia is also affected. Be careful what fish you eat, have a nice day.

Are you talking about botulism? Are your fish diseased for some reason? I ask because the U.S. gets a lot of fish from the Philippines, particularly Talapia which I really like. I can't afford to get sick!

No, they didn't die because of some virus or bacteria, it was just because of the changing temperature of the lake because it's near a volcano...

Hello dragon4u, Nope, they aren't dying because of some disease but because of the climate change or el Nino, this happened started since march but we didn't know it's going to be in this scale. i think also it was due to lack of oxygen that lead them to their deaths. am sorry if it gives a scare on you

It's not only the favorite fish of many Filipino but it is also our national fish. I saw the news too and yes its better to avoid buying milkfish and tilapia for now. We can never really tell the quality for now.

No, we aren't really planning on buying any seafood these days- good thing we just bought bangus and anduhaw a few weeks ago, before this massive fish kill. I really pity those fishes and those people who are affected by it- they lost so much of those precious fishes.

Milk fish is my favorite too! that's why I also felt sad when I saw the news on TV because that means I won't be able to eat bangus for a while. And I also feel sorry for the fishermen and the owners of the fish pens because they lost a lot of earnings. How would the local fishermen feed their families?

I so love milk fish. My doctor even told me I am doing myself good because I eat milk fish a lot. This is a very good source omega-3 fatty acid so even doctors are telling we should eat milk fish twice a week or even more. But with the fish kill nowadays, I could not eat milk fish at all. I don't care much about Tilapia. I used to love Tilapia but after I learned that this fish contain no omega-3 fatty acid at all, I stopped eating it. I feel something is missing in me these days. How could my meal be happy if there is no milk fish on the table? I know that this crisis will come to pass but I hope and pray it passes very soon. I could not be happy if I would not be able to eat milk fish specially the belly in a week

Yes, i heard that in the news. It's sad that it's your favorite fish. maybe it will be quite sometime before you can eat a real healthy one again. Good thing, i don't really like bangus. I only eat fried or grilled boneless bangus. I dislike its thorns. But i hope this fish kill could be stopped already.
