For me, I probably will, since from the day I graduated from college until now, I don't really know what I at. That is pathetic isn't it? While I was in college, I choose computer information system, it was "Hot", but it wasn't so "Hot" now. According to statistics, engineering, pharmacy and computer science earn the most money in comparison to psychology, humanities and arts. So, what will be your choice when you choose your own major? Would follow the market trend, or would you follow what you really like? If I would back to college again, I might choose the computer science.

If I would choose my college degree all over again, I will choose the same. I chose my college degree becuase I excel at that field and that industry. Though it was not exactly a hot and a money-making course, it gave me some sense of what I am and what I want to be. I felt some personal satisfaction compared to my state of mind if I chosen a hot degree that I don't exactly like. I think earning money is very dependent on skills. I already had some skills when I entered college and it only made my skills sharper and made my future more discernible. That's why I would still pick my college degree becuase it's what I really want.

When I was at school I did well in the subjects that I really liked. I did very badly in the subjects that I hated. In the careers office I saw details of a wonderful looking college. It had an indoor swimming pool and boats for the students to use on the River Thames. I decided to apply to do a business and finance (shipping and Transport) course there. I went there for its excellent facilities. All of my life I have been keen on traveling. I went to work in Finland as a children's nanny and then came home to work as a container marketing controller for two years. I was sadly made redundant and traveled around the world because it was way too challenging to get another job. When I came back home again I went into teacher training and changed my career plans. At university I studied Education and English Literature. I had teaching practices and these I found rewarding. It is that sort of work and teachers don't earn a lot of money. I am a primary school teacher. I wouldn't do a degree just to get me into a job that pays loads of money. I knew my mom's neighbor found being a lawyer very stressful. I think I would find accountancy boring but it is very well paid. I know some computer degree people that can't find work in their field.

Well there is nothing good or bad in selecting the degree that earns you the most. I wll tell you about my experience I am in a finance field I graduated in marketing field and then choose finance because of the wide scope in the area. Basically when you talk about liking my interest was not so specific in fields I thought finance was the best so I moved there. Now in your term the course you choosed may have good earnings or not it depends on you how seriously you take it. I feel that stick to this degree which you are in cause in other you might not succed much because of lack of info. So do your best in the current field iam sure you will come out in flying colours.

i think that most people do.. i would if the field was something i had a passion for.. even though this society money over powers everything. some people don't do things just for the income. like teachers, teachers don't get paid as much as i think they should but most teachers teach because its a passion

if i will be given a chance to have a college degree again, i'd rather choose computer science because if you know well about the modern technology, more money is waiting for you. money can be easily gotten compared to those nurses, teachers, engineers who work all day just to earn for a living. but if you will make use of the modern technology to earn money, less effort is just exerted and you can work at your own convenience.

I have seen too many people who choose an interesting college degree and could not find a job. I would suggest that you pick a degree that will get you a job doing something you enjoy and that will pay you a living wage.

I think both market trend and one's own heart important in decide which kind of college you choose. But to tell the truth, the market trend can change as time goes on, i have seen lots of such things, four years ago, lots of students choose to be a teacher, because at that time, it is not a difficult thing to get hired, but after they graduated from college, they found it changed, since kids are much less, so some schools are closed and the demand for teachers are not so hot. Even the teachers who have lots of years of teaching experience face the risks of being dismissed. So it is better to have a long eyesight and of course we can't choose a major that is totally against our will. If so, we can't put our hearts on it, and if we don't like it at all, how can we do well at it?

I dont think that any college degrees is earning more than the others. Its not about what your degree because people can just apply in another job that is not related to their college degree. If you want to earn more money, since when you say its to "earn" means you are working under someone else's business, so better go to business like accountancy or secretary or anything about public relations and management. Many people wants to start their own business and Lots of business is coming and many entrepreneurs are going to hire people with those classification. You need to work hard and know how to deal with your boss for you to be promoted. If you want to work hard and get more money go for something related to money... :) If you want to become professional that earn money by your own specification, go for pharmacist, medical technologist, or anything regarding health care. The smart you are, the more you can get scholarship. Many hospitals needs this people and you are easily being recruited. :) Of course, you have to give your best to pass all the examinations and the rest requirements. But if you want to become rich by yourself? Go for entrepreneurship course itself. You are not going to master everything, all you have to learn only how to get the right person for the work and you hire them to do all for you. You will learn how to get the franchise and everything done. :) But of course you have to really focus on profit, grow your business and also learn how to manage your own people. :) Everything needs effort. its up to you what you think its suitable. For me, I took medical technology for lab, so I know the basic needs for me to build laboratory. I am taking MD now, for me to have the credibility to build my own laboratory. After I become MD, im planning to buy franchise and recruit medical tehcnologist to work under me. I let people work hard and i will just take care the needs of organization. :)

Well, I choose my major accounting because at high school I like accounting and from other people I learned that if I work in financial industry, I could earn money way faster than other field. I don't regret it, but I also feel that I am more suitable if I choose finance over accounting because I realized now that I don't like accounting that much, but gain an advantage among my peers that fully understand the financial statement.

If I were you, I'd rather take the degree I like. Have tried taking a degree that I didn't like, but because we're so destitute then, was forced to take it (BS Industrial Tech) on a state university, and failed to finish it, despite my high score in the entrance exam. When I got the chance to study again years later, I took AB Political Science and finished it in no time. I don't know, it just felt so natural for me. Despite some disadvantages, taking the course you like is better in the long run than the one you didn't.

I think more than which degree one will be earning the most money, one should chose a degree they really love. They will be working many years and working only for the money will not be as rewarding as doing something which really interests them. Right now, couldn't you take classes in your interest and maybe go on from there? I wish you much success

Personally, I couldn't choose a degree that earned me the most money. Chances are that that degree might be something that I don't like doing, something that I have no interest in. If I'm not interest in, then I don't think that I could do a good job. I'd much prefer studying something that I enjoy studying, something that I'm passionate about learning.

You might choose computer science and think it as the best. As I know computer science nowadays is not that in demand compared to Information Technology. Computer Science is more on software. While Information Technology focuses both software and hardware. That's how I see it. Well, I think compared to other field of studies, ComSci and I.T is one of the best choice! Technology evolve and fast development.

NO! never choose a college degree just because it can make you earn the most money. If i were you, i would choose the best course that I know that will make me happy and realize that Im being paid while enjoying, because if you hate something, then make yourself want it and you will love it and make the most income
