Birthday Present for friends?

Well what are things you would present a friend for his or her birthday ,well I don't want it expensive. it shouldn't be cost more than couple of bugs , but it would be something which is valuable or memorable to your friends
And also what are the gifts you would give and also suggest me

If you don't know what to give maybe you can try a gift card to any major store or something like that.
Commonly accessories like wallets, belts, neckties, etc for men or purses, fantasy earrings, etc. for the ladies is what I might give as a present.
If it's for a very special person in my life I would give something like that and something else that I would give it a little more thought.
Just recently I didn't gave a physical present to my girlfriend, just a dozen roses for her birthday and a little card with a "Valid for a weekend trip to ..." where she and I once went to an amazing road trip once a few years ago.
In the end tt is the detail that counts, not necessarily how much it costs.
