what's the significance of nationalism?

Do you think the concept of nationalism divides the peoples of the world more? Yes, i know that nationalism is ideal on national level, but if you look at the bigger picture, doesn't it break the connection for all of us as one people? i think times are high for all of us to look at a bigger picture and see each other as our own, not separated by nationalilty. we are all nurtured by our Mother Earth, so we must all be as one... just sharing my loving thoughts to all of you... there is no right nor wrong in this discussion only free thought :) take care my friends...
