can not connect to hotmail server

hello mylotters i have been trying to synchronise my hotmail mail with smartphone mail app for more than mopnth now. And every time i try to connect i get message like 'could not connect to server'. It was working perfectly fine till i change the password. then suddenly it stopped working so i enter new password but it did not accept it. i remove my old account and set it up again but still i got same error message. Are any of you having the same problem like me ??? is there any solution ?? please let me know.
