Roger Federer is arguably the best tennis professional to be ever born on this planet. But age is catching up with him. Also a few young guns are breathing down his throat. Roger's game is a few notches below his best but others have upped the ante and now, the once invincible Roger Federer seems human. Arguably he is still among the best players in tennis. But can he convert that into another Grand Slam win? Also can he get back his long lost number one ranking and finally can he win another French Open.

Hello Amit, I know about Roger but I have not much knowledge of tennis and it is also not my favourite game. It seems you are like this game too much. Are you playing tennis.

No, I do not play tennis. However I like a lot of sports, cricket, tennis, formula1, chess, snooker, billiards, and many others.

In India cricket is most popular game I also like it. But I never played it. The only game I played in my student life is Badminton. I also like hockey. I think we cannot enjoyed by watching a game if we have not some knowledge of it.

Very true. Without knowledge of a sport, how can you enjoy viewing it. I think one of the major sports that I never understood is golf. God knows how they work out the scoring there.

As far as your last question he has already won the french open 2009 Yes I think he can win another grand slam before he retires even though he is not as good as he was before he still among the top3 and good enough win grand slam only Novak, and Nadal are better at the movement And about world no 1 spot i doubt he can regain it with Nadal and Novak are really improving so its hard to keep up with them as age is catching him up

Yeah, I agree. But it would be great if he could win another French Open. After all, he has never beaten Nadal in a French Open. That could be a very good victory.

But this time I would like it Novak vs Nadal final for the fact that Novak has had such great unbeaten run and would become No 1 if he beats Roger today

Sorry to disappoint you dear, but Novak is young and he shall have his glorious moments. No doubt, one day he shall be number 1. He is a good player. I only hope that he does not waste his talent and continues striving for that glory.

No doubt, Wimbledon is his best bet. But do not forget what Jimmy Conners once said, " In an era of specialists, you can be a clay court specialist, a grass court specialist, a hard court specialist or you can be Roger Federer".

I feel his best chance to win another Grand Slam would not be at the French, but at Wimbledon.

The lost number one ranking is a no-no. . . He can still be the best but not number one. He should do what the Williams' do play a handful of tournaments and the Big Four. He isnt in the shape to come out and play week in and week out. On the brightside with the others coming up theres a lot of competition and no chance of one player dominating his grand slam record will stay unbeatbale until another Federer is reborn. With Djokovic, Nadal, Murray, Del Potro and others coming up no chance of pure domination.

I agree, no chance of pure domination. But I still feel he is in the best of shapes physically. Of course he cannot be the invincible Federer anymore, but imagine, he still hardly misses a tournament and his consistency in reaching the quarters, semis and even finals is still amazing.

why can't federer win another grand slam! you said that he is the best ever player on the planet and he won 16 grand slams, it dosen't matter if he lose a french open final against a player. he has ebility to win 4 more grand slams. lets hope that being his fans.....

I too think he can. Just imagine though, if there was no Nadal, how many grand slams, he could have won. I guess the same holds true for Nadal who would have won 2-3 more grand slams had there been no Federer.

Fed express has been derailed many times by nadal and sometimes by novak as well. he is now 29 yrs old so he is just out of space. But i don't think that he can win any more grandslam to do this he has to work more harder than before when he was no.1 because every player now has more confidence than before they had when playing against them. May be Federer lost his confidence after these much final losses. He has already lost against nadal in the french open in four sets not five.

Playing against Nadal in French Open is a different story. But now comes Wimbledon. Federer is king there, having won so many times. Though Nadal has defeated him once there, it is unlikely that he can repeat it again. Also many people have won Grand Slams after they had crossed 30 years of age, most notably Sampras and Agassi. So Federer has hope. Also Federer does not seem to be playing badly. It is just that we are so used to see him at his dominating best, that we forget that he is human and bound to lose every now and then.

though his age matters federer is still on hunt. He would have been very lucky if he had to meet murray rather than djokovic or nadal in finals as federer shares the major winning percentage vs murray on head to head.but friend my support is for the upcoming djocovic

Well, my support is for Federer. So its you vs me I guess. But I must admit, you seem to have the upper hand.
