How will you rate the BlackBerry Curve 8520?

I have newly acquired this phone just months ago. I am a bit apprehensive at first because I was supposed to get a BlackBerry Bold 9800 but got this instead. Also, this is my first time to use a BlackBerry mobile phone so I don't know for sure what the benchmark on performance is. So far, I'm really enjoying it but the one thing I notice is that it is pretty useless when there's no Wifi or you don't have a data plan. Any personal experience about the BB Curve 8520?

Well a bit off topic comment but I think you should have chosen a android instead of a blackberry ....
Coz I think android is the best mobile OS currently....
I recently purchase a android smartphone and I am more than satisfied with the overall performance and the usability....
Even blackberry OS is good but the smartphone market is now turning to Android...
And yes even an android is not of much use without and internet connection.....!!!!

Really? Hm, that got me thinking. So, what Android smartphone do you recommend? Honestly, I don't know much about the current Android OS and I haven't used or even tested an Android phone. :P

All smartphones are pretty much useless if you don't have a data plan. All the functions that make it a "smart" phone are not really available to you, so I would have just gone with a regular phone. (since you are probably paying too much for your plan when you don't have those features)
I like the curve more than the bold, even though the bold is SUPPOSED to be better. I have a bold and let me tell you it is TERRIBLE, by far the slowest blackberry in existence. So unreliable, it freezes constantly and you have to take the battery out to reset it. Then sometimes it randomly resets itself. The browser is terrible worse than any other blackberry, text on pages is too small.. If you zoom in you have to scroll side to side as well as up and down to read anything. The curve isn't like this, so stick to the curve.

I have not use any Blackberry phones yet though.I would prefer an Android device because it is the best mobile OS out there. Also the number of handsets are also very good that available in the market.i am using an Iphone and a Nokia N8 and i am very happy with them and don't think of buying any new ones yet.
