are we really interested in making nature live for another 100hundred years? i am an advocate to protecting nature, that even cady wrappers are kept on my pocket if i cannot see a trash can. but other people are not. especially the younger generations. they just throw trash anywhere and everywhere. there are no sense of ownership and cleanliness. i do not have any cross cutting boundaries here. both rich and poor children do. infairness to those who really are devoted in cleaning mommy nature.
what are we doing? my gulay! wake up people of the world. maybe 2012 is really appropriate after all. what is 2012? well 21st century prophesis says that it will be the end of the world. i wonder how the world will end? will we be eaten by garbage? i hope those who will be eaten first are the ones who throw garbages anywhere.
how about you? what are you doing to save mother earth?

You are right, Ladyphoenix, younger generations don't seem to care too much about the cleanliness of their home - mother Terra. Though I'm sure there are exceptions.
I think they should learn in school about what to do to save the planet, just like we were taught when we were their age. And I'm not talking only about throwing the trash everywhere but also about wasting the resources and poluting the air, the soil and the water through many ways.

you are most fortunate then.because you are taught how.but what was taught will remain in the book, less practiced.i say we were taught in school.but what others lack (of course with some excemptions) is to pay attention to what is taught and the force to practice it.

oh yes of course..and i prefer that the fine is higher than usual plus community service. so that they will not do it again.

The first lesson I taught my daughter then is the right way of disposing trash. She had to keep the wrappers of anything that she eats in her pocket or bag unless she finds a trash can where she can throw them. She religiously practice this up to now and when her friends kid her for doing so, she 'll start lecturing them and invited them all to do the same. I think it is the role of the adult to impose such trait to the young people today and we must be the good examples and no matter how hard we talk about having an advocacy but not practicing them, we are going nowhere.

that is how it should be.but in reality it is the other way around.not all of us is doing like you did.because not all of have the ability to foresee the results of our action today.lucky for those who knows.how burdensome for those who knows but do not care and how pitty for those who do not know anything at all.
