When I use to work outside the home and had to go in to work, yes Mondays were such a drag. Having had weekends off it seems such a drag to consider returning on Mondays, but as many would say if Monday was part of the weekend then I suppose Tuesdays would then be a drag. lol

I think that Monday's are a drag as well. They are really annoying when you have to get up at very early hours like 7am which i have to do every morning of the week for college. On top of that i have to wake up at 5am both Saturday and Sunday for a retail job to earn extra money to pay for college.I really never get time of , its almost summer thought an i will get 2 days off a week what i just cannot wait until.

Hooray for some relief and glad that with the weather being warm and perhaps too hot that at least you will get some rest.

Monday is the worst but then so are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays if there is work involved. I have also got into the habit of hating Sundays because I know I have work the next day. So Saturday is the only day I can relax, how sad is that lol. Luckily it is a long weekend over here now so no work for me on Monday

I don't mind working on Mondays, because I only work Monday through Thursday, so by the time I am off Friday, Saturday and Sunday, I am ready to go back to work, besides I only keep my grandson, and I love being with him anyway. After 3 long days of not seeing him, I am more than ready to see him on Monday.

I also hate Mondays for just that reason, it's really annoying to hear the alarm clock ring after those two days of relax, and going again to work, I hate them too. Moreover, I would hate any day that comes immediately after weekend, call it Monday or Tuesday or whatever, when there is a holiday and a long weekend happens, it's just the same and I end up hatting that first day instead. Even more these cold days right before winter, no one is in the mood to even go out of bed.

You are not alone ritz i too hate to go to office on MONDAY because unlike others i have to do lot of household works on SUNDAY which my wife keep pending in a week so when i get up in morning on MONDAY i always feel tired moreover who will think of going to office after whole one day break.
Moreover i have observed most of the time we do get more work on MONDAYS than any other day may because MONDAY is the first day of the week.

When I was at school, or something like that, I've never really liked Mondays. I've never been a fan of Mondays. However, now that I'm working from home through the internet, it doesn't bother me as much. I now have my own schedule. I can work whenever I want.

i mondays too. i always feel the pressure outside the room im being stationed. i work on weekends and most of my bosses are off from the place during sat sun. i feel like i just got off from bed and sat in front of my PC, until monday. people are movin so fast and everybody's busy but me. lots of managers around and i have to watch what im doin.
guards are also strict on mondays cause they dont want to be reprimanded because let me wearin my sleeveless and slippers. unlike weekends, they just let me in..

I don't think you're alone in that feeling. Mondays are hard for most of us! Some mondays though I am actually somewhat motivated when I get to work, but usually not so much. It's hard to go back to work after having the weekend off to do whatever... But you just gotta keep your head up and work on getting back in the groove of things at work!

I hate working on Mondays too. After resting over the weekend ("resting" meaning doing house chores while spending time with family.) Waking up and realizing it's a Monday is enough to make want to stay in bed instead of going through the hustle and bustle of the day. But I know that I have to wake up and start moving. I just make sure to do something special on a Monday to get my jolly mood up. For my sons, I try to give them a surprise or a treat on Mondays so they'll have something to look forward to.

I surmise it's just a complete culture shock of sorts...you had all the fun over the weekend then for it to suddenly stop is definitely not a great feeling. Two days is not enough to unwind and take care of household demands, sometimes you can only do one and then it's back to the grind again.

Monday is the worst day for me. After the weekend, to come back to work knowing that their are four more days until the next weekend really sucks.

Hehe lol nice discussion iam also having the same problem well I dont go to work but soon in a months time I will be placed in a company. Well I go for classes and I travel by trains and during this premonsoon period the wheather is very hot and humid we are told to wear formals for three days in a week so during my start weekned I just hate going its just because my sleep and going in formals in rushed trains. So it is very bugging going on mondays but we all should have some sacrifices in life so I guess some and somewhere we all will reap the fruits of this.

Monday is given such a bad connotation as far as being unpleasant and not a good day to wake up.This is true as many people are just finishing their weekend and do not want to get up early the next day.I for one think that it is just another day of the week and some hate the weekend as they are working a few days of the week and work Saturday and Sunday. Many people who think that Monday is a a bad day to get up and hate working are not really in a job that they are satisfied with or find to be an enjoyable experience. In this economy though a job is a job and i guess finding a job you really enjoy is quite slim of a chance of happening anytime soon.

I must admit that whenever I wake up on Monday morning it's one of the worst moments of the week, because I know that problems and headaches are back in my life, but there's nothing I can do about it,so I try to enjoy my morning coffee and try to clear my mind before starting work. After all, there's got to be something good to expect every day,so I try to think about the hours after work and encourage myself to be positive, although it's very hard to do that on Mondays.

Have we said everything should detail or fact that Monday is the most difficult and nasty days of the week. As Monday you out of the state of lethargy from the weekend, sending you to work, to school, an exam, the dentist all the time ...... Monday Monday .... something happens does not give money, do not get money, never postpone anything until Monday, Monday happens to be raining and I was in sandals, boots ... Monday everybody is unhappy and sullen ...
This day never lacks not trivial, not ill nor had he manages to leave us out of our minds every week and break the second part of the wonderful day on Sunday because we thought only stay in on Monday!
Myself I would like to cut down on the Monday of the calendar, or to move to Israel ..... where the first day of the week is Sunday?
