How Do You Gain Referrals?

Aside from active participation here in MyLot.Com, members also get the chance to earn more through referrals. Let's be honest here - I've been a member of this site for quite some time already, but unfortunately, I can't convince others, or even find people to sign up under my referral. I know it's quite tough to convince people to sign up for something that doesn't guarantee you an exact amount of money that you'll earn per post, but how do you go about finding someone that can actively participate in discussions like you do? Inactive referrals, as we all know are no good - they need to earn money, for you to earn at the same time! I know, for someone who has been here for quite some time already, I still consider myself as a "newbie" in this field. So, what I'm asking from everyone out there are some helpful tips, and even strategies on how to gain referrals, and how to give them motivation about posting more and actively participating here in MyLot.

I offer an incentive to my referrals. I give them back half of the referral earnings that I earn thanks to them. It is still worth it because if they were inactive I would earn nothing from them, so half is better than nothing at all and it inspires them to post. I promote my profile (with my referral link attached at the end) on several sites and I have the link at the bottom of emails that I send. I also have a blog which speaks of myLot which is promoted on certain international sites and sometimes I get a sign-up. Whenever I get a referral I PM them immediately welcoming them and offering them assistance to get started and then I ususally respond on their topics and responses if they become active. It is relatively easy to gain a referral but active ones are much harder to find sadly.

I know, right? I mean, not that I can "really" convince people to sign up under my referral, but if we're going to look at the bigger picture, asking someone to join is quite easier, than asking someone to become active.. Thanks for the great tips! I really appreciate them, I really do. Maybe we can chat a bit, and hopefully I'll be able to get more wonderful tips from you! :)

If we can at least get them to join and thenshow them that we are willing to help them (and to share too) then we just might be lucky. I am sometimes but not in the majority of cases. Seems a lot of people don't want to actually do soemthing but they just want to get paid Don't give up on your older inactive referrals. I started a topic last week after one of mine, whoi joined 2 years ago, suddenly responded to my PM and is now active again!

Really? WOW, that's good to hear! :) Well sure, I'll try to contact my inactive referrals, and try recruiting more. I do agree with you. Unfortunately, there are some people who still believe in the "get rich quick scheme" and wanted to earn without doing anything at all. It just makes me laugh, really. BTW: I know this is off topic, but I've been reading your topics, and they all seem interesting. You do have a passion in writing. I'm going to send you a PM, and maybe you might be interested with what I have to share with you :)

convincing - would be easier by showing proofs
Hello there! Well, I promote my referral links on my blog. The convincing part is the payment proofs section of my blog and to help them to their money making journey from the start, I also created my own guide for them to read. Included in the walkthrough are the list of things to do and not to do, my own version of FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) based from discussions posted by some users here, tips on how to earn more, and how to cash out their earnings (Philippines only as I don't know the system used by other countries). I also offer incentives like MysD, I give additional ten percent of their participation earnings. Getting referrals could be hard but making them active is a harder task. Have a nice day!

Hello there! Thanks a bunch for the added information. I know, it's a really difficult task to gain active ones, but am sure once you motivate and convince them to do the right things here in MyLot, it pays as well :) Have a nice day! PS: I'm from the Philippines too. =)

Hi, yes I know how to do that. But my point is, how do you "properly convince" someone?

I find it hard to gain referrals as well. My friends don't take what I say seriously about MyLot. However I think what the other guy here says will work. I should apply my MyLot account on all of my mail signatures.

Yeah, try making use of the advice that I have recently encountered, it MAY work! I haven't done it yet, but on my next promotion, I'll surely do everything she had adviced.. :) What do you mean by apply your MyLot account on all of your mail signatures. Sorry, my mind starts to wander once more, but I don't think I get it.. .

Hello, JijiXcebu! Welcome to mylot. Well at first, I did not managed to convince someone to join as my downline here. The main reason is what you had mentioned, they will not take it seriously. Unless you have proofs to show. And that is what I did, I focused myself on making money alone and after getting paid several times, I posted my payment proofs together with my written guide on my blog. And it makes my statement a bit convincing.

It is hard to deal with those that are skeptical, they are harder to convince because they really need proofs in order for them to believe.

Hi Amaine you are right in this case as to convince people is an art which all people don't have.I too have 5 referrals that i made from one social site but among those 5 only i got active just for 2 days & i earned only $0.01 from him. I too feel that to make referrals is too tough. But i still try hard to make some by putting my links on social site which i think is a best way.But what to do when all social sites become so strict like MYLOT.

I have left a comment for ou above - and that fact that I now read " i earned only $0.01 from him." confirms what I said above. I do not think of referrals primarily as money earners but of new friends who come to have fun and enjoy myLot with their earnings as a bonus.

I don't give money to them to become my referral either! You are misunderstanding maybe? They do not get a sign-up bonus. They get half of the earnings that I get thanks to them, when/if they reach payout. Are you suggesting that it is better that I am greedy and keep them all myself and do not share?
