Players like Sachin, Shewag and Dhoni are rested for international matches but they are playing all the in IPL matches. I don't like this. What do you think about this? Is IPL important than international matches?

ya its very sad that players give more important to IPL than playing for the nation.
even players like sachin, viru and dhoni prefer playing IPL rather than taking rest during IPL and represent INDIA..
surely IPL is making Indian cricketers greedy towards money.
now everyone plays for money, no passion to the nation.

yes the ipl is having a huge impact on the international team. lot of the players started playing IPL just after the world cup without any break and so they opted not to play the west india series when the IPL was over. this is very sad because first comes the country and then you should look into club level cricket. if this continues then even cricket will become like club football where the players are more interested in playing for the club rather than country. Messi being considered as the best player scored nothing in the World Cup and then when he returned to the club started doing wonders.

This is really bad. that today's cricket's playing for money and nor for nation. If players need rest they also have to do it at the time of IPL. why they demad rest at the time of West indies Tournament? Its clearly shows that they proud most money than nation.

Well IPL has become important than some bilateral series specially against some weaker teams for the fact that large amount of money and interest involved but it hasn't completely overtaken international yet
I believe all Indian players would want to be involved in test series in England and Australia but IPL may have become more important then one days to some extent

The IPL is certainly entertaining and also bring out hidden talent in Indian cricket that exists in Ranji trophy but is not seen.....Most of the players are rested because they have been on a very hard schedule over the past 6 months including the world cup and the IPL which invloves so much of travelling..... But at the same time you expect your top players to choose national duty over the shoter format of the game....IPL is definately growing very fast and could even destroy international cricket.....Its going to be a tought question to answer as for now but lets all hope for the best and lets all hope to see good cricket......

i personaly do not want that ipl takes over international matches but because of the money factor involved in ipl most of the players will prefer club over country which is not a good thing, ipl is fun but for a while but the best thing is international matches.
