The amount of people who live past about seventy, eighty, ninety is actually far less than people would believe historically. Its just there seems to be more people these days, with more people dying at what does seem to be a young age. So therefore it does seem that people are dying young. However, yes, I agree that there are factors such as not taking care of themselves that do partially contribute to the factors.
Plus, I wouldn't be surprised if it comes out that there is some corrupt environmental factors, chemicals being poured in the air by people driving their vehicles too much and just businesses being careless as well, that would cause people to have weaker immune systems towards disease. Granted, that's purely speculation at this point, but I would not be surprised. Still with more people in the world and more reports being readily available, there are going to be some grand alterations of numbers for sure.

i think it's the lifestyle and the environment...before pollution is rare....and the lifestyle of the person today is more of couch potato...lack of excercise and excessive eating...

i do think this is about the food that we eat, our lifestyle. back then they don't eat lots of foods with preservatives or any other chemicals added to it, they eat healthy. the air back then was fresh, not polluted. people back then get exercise, unlike right now, after work people would go home and sleep right after eating or something like that. basically, back then people take care of themselves unconsciously. people today has to put that much effort to live that long. they have to avoid some types of food, they really have to get that habit of exercising, being and living healthy.

It is said that our present work and living situation causes much stress and this is one of the things that can lead to a heart stroke together with unhealthy diet and almost no exercise. We have lots of medicines to prolong our life but when it comes to a balancing act we are wanting. Every year I challenge myself to change since I owe it to myself and my love ones to do so. Live longer and enjoy a healthy life.

It is the way we live. If you like eating at the fastfood it will never benefit your health for food from fastfood are high in calories and sodium. Also might consider the technologies, like too much time spending on your cellphone, TV, computer etc, that you never done any exercise even walking. Also the big factor of this case is our environment, most of places are already polluted. the key to a longer life is healthy lifestyle and healthy environment and of course happiness. I would like to add that people who don't have friends are most likely to die early.

Well you know some people aren't lucky like others. Living longer than 7 decades unlike Michael Jackson and Bernie Mac. Its all based on fate and destiny.
