Do You Use Alarm Clock?

Philippines

I am such an alarm clock person.. Everyday I have to set an alarm especially now that i have some summer job. I have to wake up 4:00 in the morning to catch the first train going to Central Station. Its like hell fighting my alarm clock and my bed who seems like pulling me to go back to sleep. I use my mobile phone to set an alarm. I do not have this conventional alarm clock ever since. I am not comfortable having one, its like reminding me of how i am such a control freak person when it comes to time. Besides its very mobile , i can set an alarm wherever i am.. How about you guys, do you use an alarm clock? If yes, do you have the conventional one or do you use your mobile phones?

The snooze function is such a genius add on to the alarm. Its a big help to people especially to those who are so hard to wake up on, like me..

I use alarm clock always. Not just in waking up, but I also use the alarm clock for doing tasks and finishing tasks at a certain a mount of time. I am a person who loves deadline. I use my mobile phone as an alarm clock too, very convenient. I don't have a conventional alarm clock too but I plan to buy one when I become more successful.

Hi, jhoannejoj. Yes, I use an alarm clock that is on my cell phone. I do have three clocks at home that all have alarm bells on them, but I only just use my cell phone instead.

alarm clock - Set at 5:00 am
Yes I do. I have an alarm clock which is also a writch watch which I place on top of my headboard and that is set at 5:00 am. I have to have an alarm clock to avoid being late for the 6:00 office time. Sometimes I'd wake up even ahead of the alarm but sometimes unless the alarm clock rings, I really would be sleeping tightly and could not wake up on time so I really need an alarm clock.

Don't know why but since more than a month, from when my college days have started, i have a habit of getting up suddenly twice in the night. Once at about 3 a.m. And secondly at about 5:30 which is right time of my getting up. So, when first time i wake up, i just check the time and sleep again. The second time, i get up at right time. So, i definitely do not need an alarm clock at all.

Hi! I have also learned to depend on an alarm clock just so I can wake up at my desired time in the morning. And like you, I use my mobile phone as an alarm clock. But I have a conventional alarm clock. I don't use it because it's too noisy in the morning! That might be ideal but I think it will not only wake me up but the neighbors as well. Still, even with an alarm clock, I sometimes wake up late. When I wake up at the sound of my mobile phone, I sometimes adjust it to a later time to sleep for additional 5 minutes. But sometimes I tend to forget to adjust it so when I fall asleep again, I will wake up later.

The only time I use an alarm right now is if I have an appointment in the morning. I sometime set the alarm on my phone and other times I just have the front desk call me (they set in the computer for a wake-up call). That is maybe once a week. Most of the time I just wake up when my body is ready to.

I am one who probaly would not need an alarm clock but uses one anyway. I am a light sleeper and I am usaully up before I need to be. I used to use an alarm clock but now I rely on cell phone as my alarm clock. I am better at remember to set it then the alarm clock!

I do not think it´s important to set the alarm clock... but how many time do you have to set it.... I used to work in a job where everyday was a different schedule, and I got up as soon as my alarm clock sounded , but my room mate as to set 8 different alarm clock to be able to get up!!!! uffff... I remember it was kind of difficult when she as to got up earlier than me... I woke up earlier because of her alarm clocks!!!!

I rarely use alarm clocks- when I have school, it is usually my mom who just wakes me up- she's my alarm clock. But when I do use an alarm clock, I just use the phone since my clock is broken, and my phone's alarm is accurate.

I too use an alarm clock every morning. I really need it to wake up on mornings, otherwise I would continue up to the noon instead of going to my work. I use the normal alarm clock, not any cellphone, they are more annoying and do the job much better. I also put it away from the bed, so I'm forced to step and walk a few steps to turn it off (but of course, nothing prevents then that I go back to bed, although I'm strong enough to resist the temptation). I never use my cellphone or such devices as an alarm, I found them not good enough and I also has the risk of them running out of battery in the midnight. I'm still old fashioned in this sense, but it still works for me.

I only really use an alarm, when I need to wake up by a certain time and want to make sure that I wake up in time. Otherwise, I don't usually use an alarm clock.

I usually use an alarm clock. I no longer work, so I don't HAVE to get up at any certain time. I could sleep all day and that is why I use an alarm on weekdays. A lot of people wake up at a certain time without help, not me. I was visiting a friend and she used the alarm on her cell phone. I have only done that once. Usually it is a conventional alarm clock. On weekends I just sleep as long as I want. Weekdays I exercise and make a few calls. I am disabled and fall a lot. If I don't call by a certain time, everyone thinks something happened to me. Plus, I have found that if I don't exercise early, and get it out of the way I won't do it.

I usually used alarm clock by mobile phones. Phones for me are handy so it's very comfortable. Anyway, I used alarm clock whenever I have a class in the school, whenever I have a work to do or an special appointment to attend to. I used alarm clock because it's really hard for me to wake up early in the morning specially when I'm not able to sleep properly at night, also when I got very tired at day doing lot of stuff or things and work. Alarm clock for me is a very important stuff, without this, maybe I couldn't work properly or I mean I will not be able to do the things I should do. It's really helpful and because alarm clock for me is very loyal, it will wake you up for the time you set to it for waking you up the only exception it will not gonna work properly is when your cellphone battery got empty.

Yes,I use an alarm clock since I wake up at 6:30,although I got used to this schedule and I usually wake up half an hour or more before that hour, but I also prefer to set the alarm as a measure precaution;I stopped using a traditional alarm clock a few years ago ,I prefer the mobile phone because I can set whatever sound or melody I want as an alarm to make the moment of waking up in a regular working day,and especially on Monday morning,a little less painful.
