Hello there,
Just as i was mylotting today, i heard a shuttered glass in our faucet. then i realized i forgot to put more glued or ropes on the mirror that shattered down and CRASH. the helper was curious that it could be a very bad OMEN of some kind, but my mom recalled her cleaning the place near the glass and some how the glass went off balanced, which is my fault anyways
Second was when i was putting this large digging tool that they borrowed, i didn't realize that there was a glass on the down side of the closet that i toss it a little but and i heard another FREAKING SHATTER
oh, well, those are one of those days..i don't want to feel superstitious here.

Superstition beliefs again???
here in our provinces, most of the Roman Catholics here are fun of believing all sorts of superstitious beliefs instead of following their Apostles Creed Prayer.... that in the end sentence of that prayers it say's
"but deliver us from evil"
so, why believe in superstitious beliefs if you repeatedly say "but deliver us from evil"?????

Hello mantis,
I will remember this quote from you my friend. i didn't think the meaning of the apostles creed can result to that. am so sorry despite of being a catholic i haven't been digging about information regarding the prayers for a long time. i don't even go to church on sundays

Chinese Believers like Fung Sui....
their beliefs are more closely related to Science....
for example:
in Chinese Fung Sui:
"Dragons Path under the ground where dragons major highway passes frequently deep frequently"
in Science:
Underground water can be located on this area deep below the ground, good for water wells.

Hi LetranKnight25,
Can't help but butt in. For me, superstitious or not, what is important is your faith in God. We Filipinos were practically born and raised in a country where a lot of people tend to believe in superstitions rather than cling to their faith. Some would even depend their entire existence in following what they call lucky rituals or avoiding bad luck.
I am not naive to those things as they were handed down by our ancestors from as early as one could remember. But unlike my ancestors, I would rather believe that God would not allow bad things to happen if you break a mirror or walk under a ladder. Bad things could only happen if we are careless or negligent.
I for one have broken not just two but a good number of mirrors and glasses in my entire life but nothing bad has ever happened to me. On several occasions that that happened, they were due to my failure to pay proper attention to what I am doing during those particular times as I am always daydreaming and my thoughts were wandering elsewhere and that is carelessness. One time, I accidentally slipped and hit the large wall mirror, when I tried to hold on to something, eventually pulling it down from it's hook, breaking it in half. It happened because I stepped on the rag on the floor I saw earlier but negligently ignored to pick up. I had a bad fall and felt sore for about a week but there was no such thing as 7 years of bad luck. The only bad thing that resulted from such incident was I had to be a spend thrift for a month to save enough to buy a replacement so I wasn't able to eat out with my friends during the time and missed the happenings. It may sound funny but needless to say, things like this happen because we are careless or not paying attention to what we do, and negligent as putting away things to do for later. Even if when things went wrong, for me, it is quite insensible to blame it on such heresies.
As I matured, I also find it logical to think ahead of time or plan ahead before doing anything that will involve the safety and security of the people and the things around me. That way, I only have myself to blame if something went wrong in the end.
Of course there are fortuitous events that are bound to happen and that can't be helped. Things that are beyond my powers to resolve I leave in God's hands. Life is too short to live in remorse and fear. I'd rather thank God that I am still alive and enjoying a lot of things including earning in mylot.
A blessed day ahead!

Hello bluebell,
I can tell really that it's my fault, it was somewhat ignorance and negligence on my part because i didn't put to much support on the mirror, that wouldn't fall. the helper was cleaning it and didn't realize that the mirror's position changed and lost it's balance. am glad no one was there. i just swoop the floor to prevent people from getting help.

You know, sometimes we need to experience these things because as we all know experience is the best teacher. I'm sure it won't happen again because nobody wants these things happening. God bless!

I hate days like that when things like that happen. I hope nothing else got broken after that. I hope there is no more bad luck either.

Hello steph,
me too but it's just happened. but the glass had been swept away now, so there's no problem to it. i think bad luck depends on our interpretation on how we recognize a bad day.

Hi Letran,
Yeah my dear friend take it as coincidence life is too precious to delve in what is truly unknown, I am not a superstitious person therefore, let's just be grateful that the glasses shattered and no one was hurt.

Hello hardwokinggurl,
i could call it both coincidence and negligence because i should have been more aware of what am doing instead of just believing in some freakin folk tale superstition. well, no one was around when the glass fell to the ground, it's that i hear shutter glasses but maybe i should get used doing otherwise the next time i'd be alone for it.

if ghosts can contact to the physical world, then, they are very dangerous because they can manipulate buttons in the control door of the 747 Passenger Airplane, the pilot doesn't know why an invisible matter controls their aviation and plenty of Jumbo Jets that crushed without reasons....
but listening to GMA news, ABS-CBN news, CNN or other news, you can't heard ghosts that alter human controls that leads the Passenger Vessel or Motor Oil Tanker Ships to collision without apparent reasons because those ghosts are hahahahaha
and besides, Ghosts or Superstitious Beliefs are not applicable to the court of law,
the judge and the jury will only laugh at you claiming that ghosts really murders him, bring that ghosts to jail....
because there are no ghosts and that is the reason's why.
