i hate my father

Hate is a really BIG word. But, I am not telling that he is right. My point is, why don't you do something for him to change? You are his son, after all. Perhaps there is something else that you can do to make him change.

Hi denik - But have you asked your mother how your father made her sad. There may be some reason why your father makes her sad.You should sit & discuss with your father because its very small reason to hate your father that too without going in the depth of it.

Hi. denikurniadi. I think that saying that you hate your father is a very harsh word. I think that you hate how he makes your mother sad. My father is not the best person in the world either, and he makes me very sick sometimes, but I would never say that I hate him. I think that you should talk to your father and tell him how you feel. You should pray for your father so that God can change his ways. What exactly is your father doing or not doing that has caused you to be so disappointed in him?

I hated my stepfather too. Until I realized he was still controling me from the grave by making me hate him. I laid it down and moved on. Do what you can for your mother, help her. And move on. Whatever he's done, its not worth spending your life with toxic emotions eating away at your soul.

i am sorry for you it happen to you. i do hope your father would change and he would no longer be a burden. he may soon realize his fault. i know some family suffer from this problem too but they learn to accept it. though you could know his reasons and why make your mother sad. i do hope your mother would have all the strength to face or handle her problems. and you as his son to help her too..

It's sad that you hate your own father. Sometimes we wished that we could choose who our family would be. But we can't. We don't have a choice but to deal with it. I hope you'll be strong. Don't let what your father do bring you down

I'm quite touched to hear a son talking of his hatred on his father. I believe the reason is something really deep and you have somewhat given me an idea why? Having irresponsible father is one no mother and child will ever desire. I believe a mother would really cry if her husband could not even do his role as head of the family. And if the mother cries all the time and the kids see him on this sad state, of course the children will sympathize with her and would hate the father. How sad! But of course he is your father and no matter what he still is. I think you should pray for him. Ask God to change him. Who knows? God can do miracles! And who knows if one day, one of those miracles would happen in the life of your Dad through your persistent prayers.

Whatever it is that made you hate your father, always bear in mind that he is still your father and that without him, you wouldn't be here in this world as well. I may not know what is the real reason for you to feel that way, but what I can suggest is that you savor the moment that you still have him around because we can never last forever and as the saying goes: We'll never miss the water until it's gone.
