what is success having money or having respect?

so what if i have a lot of money am i a success may be or may be not ,money is not the only factor that derives success but earning a good reputation and goodwill also is one of the factors that mean the person has achieved success and both together means we are successful or may be not?

It all depends on the person. I have met people who have money on their mind all the time and are very happy if they earn more and more. I have also met people who are really simple and not that crazy about money. Naturally such persons are more likable by other and get more respect.
For me, personally, getting people's respect is more important because people remember you and like you for your attitude and not the expensive clothes or cars that your own. Anyway, we can't take the material things with us when we die, but the respect which we have earned will stay forever behind.

Yes people who prefer to earn more and more are less likable than people who tend to live a simple life and are willing to help them and that is the reason why they are more likable and therefore earning respect is a lot difficult thing than earning money.

Success is very personal. For me, it doesn't mean just money or respect: it means happiness. That, in turn, means enough money that I don't have to worry about where food's coming from, enough respect that I'm treated equally and a whole bunch of other stuff.

yes happiness is very important and yes the balance between money and respect if achieved then it i think describes success and yes enjoyment of life is essential and being happy is also vital and important.

I feel having a lot of respect is what is success, and money comes in without any effort if you have earned a lot of respect. People will find you and offer you their support and money once you have earned their respect and are true to your word. For your inner peace you should strive for pure thoughts and pure life and live honestly rest all are perks of having a good life, enjoy.

Indeed even i think so having respect is what is true success and you need to do everything in away that it does not affect anyone and you get good response and develop good reputation.
Yes gamma success earned in a respectful manner is the real success.Money is not the criteria to define success its not that only rich people are called successful.In my money is not important as your reputation is.

yes respect cannot be bought and you are right that money can buy popularity but money cannot buy respect but is respect alone is necessary to be successful i don't think so because money also has some vital part to play in it and specially in todays materialistic world.
