listening to music if my first aid to depression. it helps me not get so depressed and helps me forget all the negative thoughts i have. music inspires me as well, inspires me to be a better person, to be who i really am and not hide in masks, to show the world my talent. i can say, music is my best friend. :)

I prefer the opposite. I prefer music that gets me moving, keeps me going and fires me up!

Music is a huge influence is everyday life. It's true that it can relax you (like classical music; there are even music to help you go to sleep), but it can also help exercise (studies have shown that exercising to song with over, like, 135 beats per minute helps) and other stuff. Listing to music you enjoy even stimunlate neurons in your brain. Protest songs were used by the hippies in the 1960s and African-American rappers in the 1990s (e.g. N.W.A). So, yeah, music can help you in a lot of thing.
