Masterbath remodeling

We ripped the carpet out of our master bathroom and found out the toilet was leaking. We spent two days repairing the floor and another few days laying down vinyl tiles. In the end it came out looking pretty good, but it was a lot of work. Still we only spent about $200 dollars. I would hate to think what it would have cost us if we'd hired someone to do all this work. Has anyone else done their own remodeling projects? Did it turn out the way you'd hoped?
