Indian team won the one off T20 match in westindies, Although India has not played much T20 matches in WI, This is the first time India is winning a T20 series in WestIndies. So that credit is for Raina. Indian batting struggled initially in front of the 4 wicket haul from WI pacer Sammy. Sammy took 4-16 in 4 overs. but Indian team once again proved that we have a good batting line up. In last 5 overs India manged to score 72 runs. even Harbajan hit six and scored some handy runs. WI was not at all a good batting side, without the effect of Gayle and Pollard. they lost two wickets initially, but keep going till 16th over without losing wicket. but at that time the required rate has already touched 17, so in the End India won the match easily. Harbajan took 2 wickets and Praveen,Aswin,Munaf took 1 wicket each. So a happy Start for Raina, Started the tour with a win, hope that he will continue it.

It was overall a good performance from the team India. They batted well in the last 5 overs and set a fighting target. The bowlers bowled tightly and perfectly according to the situation. Finally India won it. This was the only T20 of the tour, Now to the one day and Testes. And as you said India was playing At Windies without any preparation or practice match. As there was rain lat 2 days, they didn't even practiced well.

now no Indian players need practice. because all play busy cricket, I feel that they are over played. they are playing straight after IPL, so there is no need of practicing for indian players.

Winning a match with out Sachin Shewag is a positive sign for the Indian team.I think in the coming matches also the team can continue this winning trend. With T20 matches new players are getting a good opportunity to show their talent.

Congratulations to Team India for a splendid T20 victory over westindies. Considering the fact it is Indian's team first match on the tour, that too on a wicket that was damp and slow and not conducive to strokeplay esp. when Indians batted having lost the toss. The Indian team lost wickets in a heap initially but came back strongly thanks to Badrinath and some lusty blows from Harbhajan towards the end. The Indian bowlers were disciplined and though they didn't get wickets in a heap. They kept WI batsmen in check and piled enough pressure forcing WI batsmen to play high risk shots and get out. Indian team always seemed in control and won the match handsomely. Great way to start the tour by this young Indian brigade.

Well congratulation Indian team they didn't bat that well but bowled well but the main reason West Indies loosing was their poor batting they were too slow at the start and had to many dot balls which they wasted

ya India lost first 4 wickets in quickly in short sessions. but yet they scored 159, so thats very good for a team. surely that shows the capability of players to play under pressure. And wI bating was not at all a strong one without Gayle and Pollard, so It was easy one for India.

Ya, its good that team India have won their first match after the world cup. Although they have a record of losing the series after world cups in 1983 and 2007 T-20 cup. So, we hope that they win the series this time.

well past is past. this team can beat any side, even though we played with a second order team, still we managed to win the match.actually WI is also not a strong team.

It was a good start by India. But I felt that the WI lost the match rather than India winning it. Imagine keeping wickets in hand and letting the runrate climb, the way they let it. In the end it was a bit too much for them.

Yes the win was very important for our young team. none of the regular players are in the team. and even the captain is new and so it was very much necessary that we start the series with a positive mind. the win over west india will give the boy an upper hand in the series to come. they will believe that they have done it and can do it again. although i know T20 is completly different from test and one day matches but still the advantage of positive attitude is sometimes what makes a whole lot of difference.

Yes it was a very good match between both teams India and WI. Indian team batted first and makes the score of 160 runs in 20 over. Badrinath played well for Indian team and scores good runs. And Indian team wins this only t20 match. So now good starting for Indian team. And wish all the best for their next all matches.

Hi venkit, Congratulations to Raina and his men on starting the Caribbean tour on winning note. India played well for their win but there are certain grey areas both in batting as well as bowling which they will have to address if they want to come out trumps in this Carribean tour. The batting looked patchy, Thanks to sloppy bowling and fielding from W.I. that both Badrinath and Rohit Sharma survived to give shape to the Indian innings and then little cameos from Yusuf Pathan and Harbhajan Singh gave respectability to the total. in bowling, after taking those 2 early wickets, India were wicket less until 15.5 overs on a turning track. Although West Indies never looked like winning the match because of the slow scoring rate, this grey area in bowling will have to addressed to. Taking wickets is more important than just restricting the batsmen. Anyway all is well which ends well.
