I Want To Advertise My Blog

I'm trying to start blogging and I'm doing it on one site, but I'm looking for some interesting ways to promote my blog. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get more readers or how to promote my blog?

Have you tried going on the social networking sites? If you have a profile(like on here)I would put your link on there in your status area or something. I would also put at the bottom of all your emails after your signature. I have seen this several times and it is very eye catching.

If your blog is pseudo-commercial, consider guest posting. It helps to drive continuous flow of traffic and increase readership in your blog.
