Drinking tea or coffee is good for health?

In a now days in TV adds and in almost all media showing that drinking tea is good for health i don't know is it true or not but i think some people trust them blindly, may be good or bad but i think this discussion will help to think and find out the minimum facts, what do you say drinking tea or coffee is good for health or not? if good or bad give some reasons if you have

Now the weather is getting warm, my family is drinking a lot of iced tea. It comes in many fruit flavors these days. I can't decide which one I like best - it's either blackcurrant or raspberry.
I don't think it is necessarily good for health, but it must be better than the carbonated drinks that we used to drink.
The major problem as I see it, is that tea requires a large amount of sugar to be added. I can taste bitterness in all artificial sweeteners so they are out!
I still drinks cups and cups of coffee too. Can't mylot without a mug standing by!
