The first thing I can think of (other than spreading the links to your friends through social-networks and other than my link-trading tool and other than forums) is Search Engine Optimization (SEO). SEO is basically 'making absolutely sure your blog is so-involved with whatever your blog's about that search-engine robots will put it at the top of their lists.' The best way to do that ... decide what one thing you're blog is about, then go to The Yahoo! Buzz-List (Search the Web for it just above), and write your next blog-entry about 'that one thing' as it affects the thing/person listed on top of the buzz-list. (of course, you'll also want to refine 'the code' of your blog--the keywords, etc.--but a) you only want to do that as much as the blog-network shows you to, and b) the best way to do that changes all the time, so it's best to just let it happen as it happens )

For instance if you often post about stuffs that are often searched, you will rely primarily on search engine directed traffic. Submit your blog to blog indexing websites(like technocrati), so that the chances of someone reaching your website is increased.
