anyone else a fan of the excellent HBO series, Treme. I recently bought the DVD boxset, despite not having seen the programme, on the strength of good friends telling me I'd love it. and they were right. I'm only five episodes in, but I love the stories of the individual characters, trying to get their lives, communities and culture back on their feet. and the soundtrack is excellent. I love it. I played the album at work on Friday, and everyone in the shop was dancing. that's got to be a plus point. any other fans?

Yeah I watch Treme on the weekends on HBO, as well as true blood. I have always like the hbo miniseries. And yes the sound track is awesome. Sometimes though, the storyline gets a bit confusing but i try to keep up

I've had to explain quite a bit to my husband, I have to admit. mostly dialect related, but some of it cultural, like about the indians, and what a second line is and so on. and sometimes the accents get a bit heavy for me, as an English woman. luckily my obsession with New Orleans means I can follow it pretty well.

what I hate is he will walk in and lask ... like the other nite when that one guy killed Russel's lover , he asked why. And I had to go back and explain how he was a viking and how Russel had killed his family. Now of course, more questions immersed and i missed the rest of my show lol

Thanks for pointing out a show that I did not know existed. I have heard of the Treme Brass Band - I thought the question was about them, but not the show so I did a quick search and found the show summary on wikipedia and it seems interesting, the fact that it has great actors like Khandi Alexander, David Morse, Wendell Pierce, John Goodman(he is quite good at singing Blues, does he ever sing?) and Melissa Leo among others is a definite. I will probably try to see it when I can.

I have watched Treme. It is an interesting show. I like the King of THrones that is on on the same day and ,ofcourse, True Blood which I love. All one the same day.I I like the New Orleans theme of Tremes. Always wanting to go back there since the first time I didn't get to see much.

Hi Galena - I was hooked the moment they showed the previews on Atlantic. Superb viewing - HBO really is the box office at home. Treme, Mad Dogs and reruns of Six Feet Under and X Files ... what a way to kick off a new channel. Way 2 go, Sky!

I LOVE Treme. I have watched every episode. Before the second season began, I re-watched every episode of Season I and liked it even better the second time around. Even though I knew what was coming, it was ll still excellent. And I picked up on things that i did not get the first time viewing, The acting is terrific and so is the story line. I am also liking The Borgias on Showtime. I really also loved Boardwalk Empire. The second season of Boardwalk Empire was supposed to have begun but it has not yet. There seems to be some problem.

Silly me, how could I forget the music? The music is simply incredible. I read that Treme is using real musicians, whatever that means.
