Do you already seen a pirate in your real lives not just in movies?

never seen a pirate but heard a lot of them in news and paper. they are quite scary. i never imagine them even in my dreams. they are bad people so being near them could be dangerous to your life. the worst they could kidnap you in exchange of a ransom money and worst getting killed. i won;t like those to happen to me. so just like other respondents it may better to just watch them in movies, it more safer.

Oh hello there!! I live in St. Augustine Florida and I see Pirates all the time. Now YES they are actors in costume, but they are all over the town. September 19th is even "Talk Like A Pirate Day" Here in St Auggy! I love it here! If you are not familliar with St. Augustine you should look it up!! Lots of histry and it is a very uniquly beautiful town!!

Real pirates are threat to human life, they were not the cold costume heroes we see on movies. They kill and steal from boats and ships. They hostage people and ask for ransom money. As far as I know there are real pirates in Somalia, they were really feared by the international community.It's fun to watch them in movies where the search for treasures and five other pirates but I don't want meet them personally because they were a group of criminals that lurks around the oceans. They were much more dangerous than sharks.

i think people who do a piracy is a pirate to. it's that true? well, like a sofyware, they do that and they become an enemy of sofwtware industry, but they were hero of other people who use a software.

I also like Pirates of Caribbean but I don't wish to met pirates for real. They seemed scary for me specially when I heard news about pirates who rob ships and they even kill people.

Of course there are still pirates! obviously they don't all look like Jack Sparrow, as those movies are set hundreds of years ago when the Europeans were colonising the world via the oceans! Surely though, you MUST have seen the news, piracy is rife in areas like the Indian Ocean and the Red Sea. There are literally hundreds of attacks every year, and scores of hijackings, though it'd be highly unlikely that they would be wielding a sword and more likely to be spraying their victims with an AK47! No I wouldn't like to meet one, as the only reason for that would be if I were kidnapped at sea and held for ransom!!

I he never seen a pirate in real life. I have seen alot in movies though. I think it would be neat to see one and meet one in real life. I bet they have some great stories.

I think pirets are cool but only on movies. I think that in real life they are like sea terrorist, so I don't wanna meet any one of tham in real life ;-)

No,I haven't seen any real pirate and I don't wish to,but those with a sense of adventure who are very curious to meet them should travel around the coast of Somalia,and I guess they will come face-to-face with them,so their curiosity will be satisfied;however,if they or their relatives didn't have enough money,they might not live to describe what those pirates are like.

I saw this guy down by the beach one time in a raft that looked like the raft Jack Sparrow rowed in on in the beginning of the 1st movie. It was so awesome. I remember it from when I was a kid, he wasn't a real pirate he was just some looney guy tring to pick up women. Don't think it went as planned for him but it was still a cool sight to see!
