I guess most of us use facebook, but there are things which one shouldn't do on facebook. For instance, posting that u dont like ur boss or ur job, ur phone no shouldn't be mentioned or ur email address, and not even ur relationship status, which can significantly impact ur chances to lose an opportunity that might come in future.

I agree that you shouldn't be silly enough to post that you hate your boss or your job when you have them or other co-workers on your friends list. I also think that their bosses are within their right to sack employees who bag the business, without any good reason except they cant be bothered doing their job that day. I wouldn't want someone like that on my workforce or as my co-woker. I think although we cant always have perfect jobs, we should always appreciate what we do have. I do however show my email and profile photo, date of birth and relationship status, and hometown on my info page but all other things in my profile you have to be my friend to see so its protected to my choice of people.

I agree with not posting that you hate your boss or even the company that you work for. Cause I've read some article that someone got fired because of posting such stuff. So yeah, lets just be conscious of what we do in facebook...cause you know, basically everyone that'll be reading it knows us personally.

Hi Vishalconvergys, You are right, Sharing personal information should be avoided. And sharing official comments will really makes thing worsen. And reading other details and misusing it makes more worsen.

People must remember that Facebook is still part of the public arena, meaning anything you say or post will be instantly set to various contacts in your profile. Since Facebook borders on causality, many people are forgetting the fact that people can check what you say and what you post. So, in a sense anything you say in your Facebook will be known by a number of people, whether you mean it or not. This is the main reason why people or users should use some restraint while In Facebook. Higher-ups are constantly watching their subordinates' profile since they are either friends and many workers are spending so much of their time on that site. It also helps to know what kind of person a worker is online. A little complaint can cause a job termination and a sign that the worker is being unprofessional in his/her conduct. Normally, work should not mixed with pleasure but people tend to be a little of loose tongue once they have a false sense of freedom. That why some companies do fire people because of their Facebook. Discretion, apart from honesty, is always a good policy.

I agree, you should always be careful when posting private information anywhere online including facebook. I recommend not posting a daily/hourly status of what you are doing, where you are going, who you are seeing, etc. I am not saying something bad could happen or someone is going to stalk you, but when your profile is open to the public everybody in the world can find out things about you. Even small bits of info can be bad. Remember, not everyone out there is good. Say for example you had a person in the past madly crushing over you. They can look you up and find out things about you. If they simply see that you're in a relationship and see photos of a smiling couple. It's enough to make them think you're happy and enough to make them really jealous. Who knows?.. Maybe to the point where they try to get revenge or sabotage what you have. That's just one example. You just need to be mindful of stuff like that.
