True Or False? We Need To Take Seven Kinds Of Fruits Daily

Is it true that we need to take in seven kinds of fruits daily? The significance of this amazing thought has been bothering my mind. Do I really need to peel off seven different fruits in order that my body will be getting enough amount of natural nutrients in a natural way? I do not love peeling off fruits especially the pineapple. Likewise, I am not that generous to cut off my budget from other stuff over these seven fruits. However, the thought of getting the right nutrients for good health never gets rid of my mind. Thus, I am thinking twice for this matter. And if it is true that we should take seven kinds of fruits everyday, what are these fruits?

The number of fruits is not important,is the number of servings,and the suggestion is to eat a colorful mix of fruits and veggies,the more colorful your plate is the healthier it is,since different fruits contain different nutrients.

I wonder where you heard that! I´m sure not many people can afford to eat 7 fruits a day. Just imagine if the family is big. But if you want more servings of vegetables, eat veggies. Green and red salads are filling and less expensive. Add some olives, some fetacheese and you´ll have a wonderful greek salad. And then, after your different salads, eat one fruit for dessert.

The more the better as fruits is known to contain anti oxidants good for the body health. fruits are know have anti cancer properties and keep the body immune system and defenses against diseases. Although, some people could not afford to have fruits in their table everyday but they could buy during the fruit peak season where they are cheap. if you could afford then their is no reason to avoid eating fruits as they are edible and content many nutrients good for the body.

If you are really that health conscious, it isn't the quantity of fruits that you should be bothered about but are you actually taking the recommended daily serving of fruits in a day? According to wikipedia, it is best to consume 2–4 servings of fruit in a day. They may be fresh, frozen, canned, dried, pureed, or juiced. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Food_guide_pyramid You don't have to be bothered about the peeling because it is not only on fresh fruits that you get the nutrients and vitamins you need. They can go in other forms stated above.

Hmm.. I know different fruits have different nutrients value and if we read an article about health all over the net we will see people keep saying every vitamin is important and we need to take them everyday. But if we do a research back, there are fruits than contain more than 1 nutrients. And there is fruits have all the nutrients we need everyday. And then we also consume some nutrients from other source like vege and meat and other foods. All we need is just balance this thing ups. Do some research on the fruits and its nutrient value.

Although I understand that diversity in your diet will keep it from getting boreing and also provide a wider range of nutrients this is false. www.hc-sc.gc.ca/fn-an/food-guide-aliment/basics-base/quantit-eng.php I don't know what the seven fruits are and would like to know more about where you get your information cause it sounds like someone is trying to sell you something your better off not worrying about. The recommended servings per day for fruit for adults over fifty-one is seven is that what you are referring to? This is according to Health Canada's Food Guide. Seven servings not kinds of fruit. I eat alot of fruit, it's healthy. Veggies too. Hope it helps.

Hi. keshlois143. Welcome to myLot! I hate to tell you this, but whomever or whatever told you this, do not know what they are talking about. I have never heard of this before. Eating seven kinds of fruits daily seems to be very outrageous and unnecessary. According to the Food Pyramid Guide, we are supposed to eat at least, 2 to 4 servings per day. The fruits can be either fresh or frozen. This is what I have been going by for the longest. I have read that men are encouraged to eat at least nine servings of fruits daily.

That sounds like nonsense to me. While I agree that fruit is good for you, seven is a little extreme. I also dislike peeling things, so I like those fruits that can be eaten "as is". A tomato is also a fruit, so they are my favorite daily fruits.
