Am I the only one getting frustrated at this new wave of reality tv shows appearing in england such as the only way is essex and geordie shore is this really what people want to watch? Not only this but they project such bad stereotypes of the areas they are from surely its nothing but bad publicity for the places featured? What do you all think?

Hello Sam and welcome to myLot. It's an interesting place to be and make friends plus earn a little. I think the the economy has hurt the entertainment world as well as the rest of us. It also seems to me that the writers don't have any more imagination. We seem to be obsessed with crime programs and food shows here where I live

Yeah, I think t.v. can be so much more than it is today, occasionally something good comes along that breaks the mould, I saw this great mini series called 'mad dogs' (worth a look if your interested) but i agree it seems its rare that anything worth watching ever appears.
