India BEAT West Indies by 4 wickets in the 1st ODI......Lead the series 1-0

yeah india had won the first match but not comprehensively as the target is not so huge and india batting line is so strong capable to chase this type of score easily but they had struggle to achieve 215 runs in yesterday match. Anyway if they want to clean sweep the series they should perform more gracefully and retain the 1st spot in the ICC ODI ranking...hope they will

ya India won the first match, performed well in the absence of senior players. but the target was not very big one, so this Indian team against the weak WI team, should have chased down the target by loosing only 2-3 wickets, but that does'nt happen. anyway its a positive start to the series.

yeah started really in style but i feel more than india won the game it was like west indies lost the game.west indies batting is really struggling right now and they had faced the same problem against pakistan and if they have to put any challenges against this second string indian side then they will have to bat out of their skin or need to get people like gayle back in the side.

Dear Ramaswamy, Yes, India did win the match. But i don't think that the Indian team will be too happy with the way they won the match. They lost six wickets while chasing 215. Yes the bowlers did bowl well to restrict the West indies batsmen to 214. But I must say that this one days series will be a good test of India's future prospects....!!! Share your views... Balu

Yes India played well specially in bowling department restricted them to small total and batted also quite well considering it was a slow pitch and ball was not coming always looked under control although they lost 6 wickets

Actually this team India is lacking of experience batting line up but they have done well to chase that total because it is a young side and done well

Yes it was a fantastic win over WI by 4 wickets. In this first one day I think India played very well in all department of the game. First they stop WI on 216 runs. Then they chase it slowly. I think the partnership between Raina and Rohit of 80 runs make the base of the win. Dhawan also contribute important 52 runs innings. But the main contribution of the bowler was very good. Because Harbhajan takes 3 wickets in their 10 over’s and only gives 33 runs. Praveen and Munaf also doing very well and takes 2-2 wickets. So overall that was a fantastic win of India over WI in the absence of their senior players.
