I am really dumbfounded about the difference between a lip gloss and a lip balm. Don't add to that the difference of a lip tint from a lipstick. I don't really see any difference at all, that is why when my boyfriend and I go shop for my make - up,and he asks me what is the difference between those, I automatically say "wanna ask the sales lady"? But since he is allergic to sales ladies, he won't be asking anymore hahahah!
Can someone please tell me what is the difference between them?

There might not be much of a difference as we see, but lip gloss i believe only puts shimmer on the lips; they are for glamor and pouting and attractive lips. Lip balms that is purchased without color and less smell is used to soothe dry and chapped lips. Although there may be lip glosses that has moisturizing properties, lip balms can still be very beneficial for many problems lips, since lips don't have their own sebaceous gland to keep them moisturized.

for my point view or how im using both products. Lip gloss im using this if I want my lipstick to be glossy or shiny. I use lip balm if the weather is too cold that makes my lip chapped. to top it all lip gloos is for vanity while lip balm is for medication. hope this helps

I personally, am not really good with make ups. But what I know is that lip balm is like a moisturizer for your lips while lip gloss is used on top of your lipstik if you want to achieve a shiny, pouty lips. That is how I differentiate them.
