Is it true that love is sweeter the second time around?

For me this proves to be true. When my husband and i had a big problem with our relationship, i decided that we had a final heart to heart talk. We both poured out what are our dislikes in our relationship and decided if we want to repair the relationship. With that, we already know and compromised on how to make the relationship alive. From then on, i could say that love is sweeter, the second time around.

No, I have not experienced this. I do not believe that this is true. If it didn't work out the first time, it was for a reason. Why should it work out the second time? I have never seen a couple get back together a second time that has actually worked out. Usually, they just break up again and sometimes turn into those on-off couples, which I don't believe is healthy at all. Maybe it sometimes works, but in general, I do not believe that "love" is sweeter the second time around.

maybe, maybe not. it actually depends. i am not in a position to tell as i have not experienced it. but in my own opinion, one's true love can never be replaced.

Hmm. No, I haven't. Though there was this one time when my ex wanted to have me back, but I had a girlfriend already that time, and what I went through when that ex left me before was just too painful to bear and think through again.

I've gone through this. It happened to me twice with different exes. I guess you can say in a way it kind of is sweeter just because you get to appreciate the relationship so much more. You're also well aware of the things that made your first chance fail and you try very hard to not make the same mistakes all over again. It is sweet/bittersweet experience for me.

I have one ex, but when we broke up, I told myself that if we got back together it won't last. We have different attitudes and different outlooks in life, so at the onset, I knew that we won't be getting back together. He didn't try to woo me another time, so I guess he also doesn't believe that love is sweeter the second time around.

I read a post several days before. The title is "The Only result of Bring Back the Love" ..... And, there is only one sentence in this post. That is "Follow the old road to ruin" Also, I got my personal experiences of getting back with ex. Not to mention sweeter, it was even worse.

Yes , I am totly agree with you. Love is always sweet. Its hardly matter its first time , second time or third time
