Yay! I'm excited to go "hunt" for a new dress. The wedding's on Sunday and I need to be at my best. That means, I'll be shopping for an attire this week. Let's see, I'm still deciding whether to wear pants and blouse or an actual dress to this wedding. There's a very big fashion mall near my house so I'm sure I'd have problems deciding when I go there tomorrow.

Hi CT! I've bought a dress, and a scarf, and a pair of shoes. The dress is a tube up to the knees. I think I looked cute with my hubby by my side.

Hi syoti! Yes, I went with a dress. Good thing too, because no one was wearing pants in that wedding! Whew!

I know it may sound cliche but the best route to take will be what are you comfortable with. You can wear the best clothes but if your not comfortable it will show. I mean like have you ever seen someone who looks great but also looks like she's in pain? You should also consider that it's the brides day. Put yourself in her shoes. Would you want an overly sexy guest at your wedding? Definitely not. So my advice is dress appropriately but don't aim to be a wall flower either. Have fun

Decide what wear it is that you are most comfortable with. You can also wear a slack, but be sure that your blouse is of formal type. Complete it with a high heeled sandals or shoes, and have a pair of nice earrings. Also don't forget to bring a small formal bag and ask for the color scheme of the wedding if you are a participant on the wedding activities.

Oh thanks simply! Yes, I'm thinking of wearing heals, of course. It's a Thai-Chinese wedding, I don't think they have a notion of motifs here. I'll choose gaily colors, but not too bright. The event is in the evening.

hi beingwell, I would like to suggest you should wear a dress since wedding is a formal function , but if you are comfortable with pants and blouse that will be fine. Enjoy Shopping happy mylotting

Thanks bhaby! I'm more comfortable with pants but I agree, wearing a dress is more formal. That's why I'm debating against myself on which way to go. If I find a formal-type pants, like that of a pair of slacks and a decent blouse, I may seriously consider wearing them.hihihi...

Wear a dress to the wedding. I think that's the appropriate attire for the event and you can ask girls opinions about this on www.lifo.com where they can freely share their tips about beauty and fashion.
