Movie texters

movie texters - We've all been there before.

You're trying to enjoy a movie, but the person in the row in front won't put down their phone.

You try to ignore it but that little white light keeps getting in your field of vision and distracting you from the on-screen action.

If you use your phone, you leave the movie.

I dont know about you guys.. but i really hate movie texters. Imagine someone beside you keep on texting while you are trying to enjoy the movie. The tiggle light of the phone keeps on distracting you and was kind of like wondering... when will this person stop texting? I just read an article about that.. a girl got kicked out of the theater for texting inside... What do you think of that? was it too harsh? I personally this that this person need to learn how to respect other people.

I agree, xxj3ffxx, I had been to the theater two days back to watch Kung Fu Panda 2. There was a person beside me who was texting all the while. Also, he was narrating the events in the movie to another person beside him, that really irritated me. I requested that person not to talk and not to text, for which he gave me some reply, I told him that I'm not able to enjoy the movie. He agreed and stopped talking to the other guy, but he occasionally kept texting. I don't think such people will ever understand us, and throwing them out would be the best idea. Another way is to ask people to switch off their phones while entering, or to isolate the theater from the phone signals.

It maybe too harsh for her but there are reasons why she got kicked out. Maybe she was apprehended at first or second time but then she keeps on doing it and then she got kicked out. I agree on your post. I am totally irritated on the light from cellphone whenever I watch in the cinema. That is why the cinema light is turned off because it is a movie theatre. The only light will come on the screen for the people to be focus on the film. That is why when I am texting someone and I need and I will be watching in the movie theatre I adviced them that I will be replying late because I am watching. In movie theatre, I do not want distruction as I am paying for it.

I read that article too... I'm amused actually for the girl texter being a proud citizen of the "Magnitied States of America" hahaha.... Austin's Alamo Drafthouse Cinema is for me setting a good firm rules on movie watchers and all cinema worldwide should do the same.

Oh, that's just plain rude! People can be so thoughtless nowadays! Years ago it used to be the sound of sweet-wrappers and crisp bags (UK) that drove everybody crazy! Now that we keep huge amounts of technology in our pockets, it seems we can't resist constantly checking to see what's going on in our lives! Polite notice: Turn phones off in public places of entertainment, please!
