Coffee said to be an antioxidant. That's always what I hear from TV commercials and even from a friend. I have been drinking a cup of coffee since then just to fight of being sleepy since I used to work in a graveyard. But why is it I am experiencing palpitations, every heartburns.. though I am not that addicted in drinking coffee. Do I need to avoid coffee??

What ? You work in a graveyard? Drink only three cups of coffee with milk every day. Beyond that it is a luxury or it should be avoided. You need not avoid coffee but take limited quantity -maximum three cups. ok. have a good day

I used to work in a graveyard shift but now I am in the afternoon shift already. I alwasy see to it that when I drink coffee it will always be out of discipline. I always put into control because I don't want to end up with regrets. Thank you so much for your friendly advice. I appreciate those things.

Not really, you just have to take it in moderation. All food that is taken in large amount will not be good for our health. Two to three cups a day is still okay but more than that is not good. Me, I am trying to lessen it to two cups a day.

Thats what I am really doing to control the intake of coffee since it contains caffein which stays longer to our body. I also believe that the things we take in is just a matter on how to control or know our limitations for us not to get sick or to get ill. And as the saying goes "Prevention is better than cure".

I drink alot of coffee and never had any problems however if you are having palpations and heartburn you should try to cut back some. If that keeps happening you should see your doctor.

Perhaps coffee is not the culprit for your palpitation and heartburns. Maybe you lack sleep and tend to overeat, hence the palpitation and heartburn.
But to be sure, you might as well see a doctor , so it could be arrested at the earliest and what should be done about them.

I think you are in the right tract. Thanks for helping me realized those things. I don't really have a proper rest, thats the reason why sometimes for me not to be guilty in abusing my body I alwasy see to it to eat in a proper diet and on time. I'll probably see a doctor for early detection of what seemed to be the problem about how i am experiencing. Thanks again.

coffee has health benefits, but too much of it can be harmful too, just like what you are experiencing. coffee has caffeine, that's what's helping us stay awake. you're probably getting palpitations because the caffeine stays longer in your body than the usual. don't drink much. but if you really need to because of your work, you might want to dilute your coffee so it's not stronger. after all, looks like you don't really need a strong drink. experiment on your mix.

Coffee can be a good thing because it is packed with antioxidants and it is really a good stimulant but some people are drinking coffee too much.Medical experts said that we should not drink more than 2 glasses of coffee a day or it can be bad to our health. If you really love drinking coffee try to drink it in moderation.
