Why don't they approve my requests?!

I decide by how I can respond to posts. So I am waiting to read more posts from you. All the people I have approved have written posts I can respond to.

Hi there and welcome to myLot.
I cannot speak for the others but can only speak for why I lately have been placing some members in pending. See I already have almost 800 friends 
When I first came here I did not come with any friends and most members friend me and I never say no, but as you can see in one year my list is almost 800. Though I do respond to almost all my members discussions, I am only one person and if I cannot related to certain interest topics then I cannot respond, therefore some members feel ignored.
Adding listed friends does not earn you, only gives you a better chance of them responding, but as you can see how can I keep up with so many in a day.
So what I have been doing is waiting a bit for some to become active and see what their interests are like, this way if the member does not participate and or leaves then I do not have to remove them, as I do not like removing members. Of my 800 listed friends, I don't think 100 are active, so when I look for a friend on my list it can take a long time to find because there is no search feature and I have to look at each one, one by one.
Do not get offended, but surely if you and I were friends and I posted topics you could not relate, am sure that you could understand. The other thing too is lots of new members do come to myLot to spam and I would not enjoy reporting a member, therefore it is best to take the friend requesting slow until you interact with members so you know if you are of same interests.

Well, try to have positive thinking here. People who have to approve your friend request might not online right now or they're in hurry so do not approve your request yet.Be a friend of mine!! I will approve your friend request :-)

Well sending requests without talking to people might just not help. You should first be familiar with him through some discussions or messages.
Otherwise nobody will accept you request. I hope you are getting me.
Another way is first send requests to your real life friends on myLot. Then you can be familiar with their friends and then their friends' friends. This is a better way.
