I have a homebased, daily job-writing articles. Of course I'm happy with it. It's writing. But I feel like I'm neglecting the creative side of me: blogging. I can't lose the daily job because I know I need the money for my baby's future. Besides, I asked for that job and it was given to me. I'm just pressured with all the activities and I feel my creative side slipping away if I don't make a decent schedule of my tasks. Aside from my daily job, I also write for Triond, wikinut and blogspot. Then I also have microworkers which I have been neglecting for a couple of days now. Can somebody suggest a decent sched for me so I can finish all of them in a week without getting haggard and bored?

Hey I know how that feels. Some of those freelancing articles can be boring at times, and pretty technical too. Burnout looms after months of doing the same articles.
What I've found to work for me is always pacing my writing jobs. I don't accept jobs that demand more than I could really handle. Although the financial part is reason enough to work more than I could, I find that happy writers create more creative and meaningful write ups (thus happier clients and bonuses galore).
As for a schedule, you'll have to have the discipline to limit your work, too. Have a day off. This does not include your "blogging day". That way you'll have time to replenish your creative mana.

Glad to know I'm not the only one with this issue! You know what, I tried to make my blogging day as my day off because I thought that somehow I'll be relaxed doing it. But it appears that I'm mistaken. You're right. I really must do something else with my day off to replenish my creativity. :) Thanks a lot!

Yes LilacFaye we all need a break from what is our main work.
we just get drained.
I cross stitch or knit or read for off times or just take a walk on the beach.
If we live, eat, and sleep our job, then we are not doing a normal balance.
Now go and sniff some of those lilacs! :o))

oh, this is making me feel guilty! i have neglected my personal blog. gone were the times where i blog without end. thanks to FB and mylot.
if you are doing it homebased, it is a realization to me, and that i have to accept, that it is not possible to write a lot because i am working.
but my blog, oh, my blog!

Same dialog as mine, "Oh my blog---". It's kinda fun to know I'm not the only workaholic around here. It's really hard to juggle so many jobs at the same time. Especially when you are having fun and earning at the same time.
I also feel guilty when I can barely open mylot each day :(

That sounds familiar. The only way to keep your creativity is to have time away from the humdrum daily grind. Pace your work, don't take too many contracts at once and set yourself a day every week where you don't do ANY work at all. Go sit in the sun and drink daikiris or something.
Same thing's just happened to me with a sudden influx of work: I'm going to blast through a ton of it today and go easy tomorrow, probably.

Same here, I have a deadline tomorrow. So i guess I'll take a break from mylot and the others for a while and focus on finishing my job tom. Then I'll take a leave the day after tomorrow. Hmm, sounds fun. :)

I think you are doing right if you are focusing on the article writing job. you can decrease the number of sited where you work like the microworkers etc. until you have a busy schedule of writing articles.
to cherish your creative side try to make your articles creative and can look out a day may be sunday every week on which you can blog.
Have a nice day
