Hello Lotters,
When I was a student we love the rain, the typhoon and some strong storms because of the Suspension of classes, having a day off. not to mention i can take a bath also which is cool ever but i still take a bath later. but of course, it's not good for flood prone areas.
But it was a bad thing for the workers because they're work in the construction in our house.but that was a temporary set back, the constructions is already done. i hope.
Another thing is that, yesterday i went to a bank on a SUNNY day, but there are 3 dozen or more people with only TWO clerks! i couldn't bear it so i went home. And went BACK today, not only it was raining but it had a lot of advantages because of few people, they were more 4 clerks. not a hard to do but i haven't gone out in a little while.
Hows any one doing in such a rainy day? but ihope people are also doing well in different weathers out there.

most businesses get affected during the rainy season. maybe the ones that sells hot will be umbrellas, raincoats, jackets and hot noodle soups.

I do not like rain at all letran..because i live in an area where it get muddy..and when i say muddy..its really MUDDY!! where like you step and it gets really that deep and when you bring your foot up you also bring with you like a kilo of mud!!! and the worse part is that the soil looks like poop!!! try doing that on an office day and you go to work all muddy wahhh
all i do is wrap my feet in plastic bag and it serves a protection lol..and when i reach the road where it is already cement i remove it and tada!! my shoes are clean lol

i can definitely imagine that jazel. it was hard to walk in the mud and it really felt like you were dragging a few pounds worth of mud with every step. and the sticky soil really looks like carabao's poop.
both my parents have boots they often use in the rainy season to keep their feet dry and clean. you should get one like lk mentioned. durable ones last a long time and well worth the money spent.

Maybe you should save a budget for buying some boots, am sure it's not that expensive since you are working.well, plastic is good but its disposable my dear. that's good to know. i hope you are out of the harms way when ever rain comes.

Hi letranknight,
I too love rain lot of it but not thunderstorm and lightning as you do and not for missing the classes but for the kick of it. I am from an area where there is lot of rain. When it starts raining sometime it will continue for weeks together. You will not even see the sun. As a child I enjoyed wading through the water while returning from the school along with the friends. When there is lot of rains our fields will be overflowing and an ideal time for fishing. I used to enjoy that.

Hello msdivkar,
I hate thunderstorm and it destroys our electrical devices and electrical post. I liked playing and running in the rain but unfortunately i don't last long because i got something else to do. i wouldn't go fishing, because of the possible floods.

I do love it when it rains after a several days of enduring the scorching heat of the sun. Since i work at home, i love to cuddle up in my bed with a good book on my lap and a hot tea on the side table during my break time. But since i have a hefty collection of ebooks in my ipad, i take time to read those classics during cold rainy days.
It feels refreshing but i'm worried about my son's health. He went back to school this morning and it was raining the whole day. I hope his vitamins can protect him from common diseases during this season.
Have a happy rainy day ahead.

Hello toniganzon,
Wow, that's really cool you get to relax with you're laptop. as for rainy days, don't you know that there was a time that i used to do mylot a lot and then all of a sudden i got lazy and went to sleep with my PC on. he needs to have rest all day and prevent himself from watching tv or any other activities.

I love the rain too, but little rain only. I love the feeling of cold air and you do not have to take a bath because you do not feel you are getting dirty because you do not perspire unless you are the one who cooks inside the house or do the household chores. What I do not like is the flood, the wetness on the feet, the traffic and the hour that you stay long inside the vehicle and you are seated with someone (sometimes they smell awful and you do not have a choice but to stay there because it is hard to find vehicles to get home and it is raining outside). When i was a student too I love the rain when inside the classroom and when I am still at home. I remember i hate it when it rains because one of my school crushes will certainly not be going to school, maybe he is lazy and he is indeed actually. what i found best with rain, is the cold air and it is good to sleep and spend the rest of the day in bed.

Rainy days can be a pain in the butt especially when I'm out. I don't like being rained upon when I'm out because it's just a hassle. When I'm at home though, I like to just snuggle in bed and sleep all day. For me, it all depends on where I am.

I love it when it rains especially at night, it was really a bed-weather for me, I really sleep soundly. But rain should be just enough to have a cold weather and not to the extent of flooding the streets thereby affecting everybody.

I love rain! You know the Carpenters song "Rainy days and Mondays always get me down..."? Well, it's the opposite for me. I have my ups when it's raining outside. When it rains, I wouldn't have to water the plants, I can wear my raincoat and boots, I have a reason to enjoy more cups of hot chocolate.
What I don't like is a storm.
I only like rain, not floods, thunder and lightning.

I love the rain only, when it happens at night. It makes the surrounding cooler and makes us sleep soundly. The raindrops seems to lull me more to sleep.
But whenever it rains just as i am to go out to go to the jeepney stand, i'm really not glad at all.

It's been rainy here a lot lately. We should be pass the rainy season but it's still raining. I like a good rainy day from time to time. Last nights storms and rain was a good thing it brought the heat and humidity down considerably. My 3yr old daughter loves to play out in the rain. I used to when I was a kid I guess I still do sometimes. I like a cold rainy day if I havE nothing I need to do so I can take a lazy jammie day.

i only like drizzle because i still can walk to go somewhere in this kind of weather and it won't flood any area:) but living in hot Louisiana, i really hope the drizzle or rain will come more often, because our summer is too hot. we need rain:)

i love the cool breeze the rain brings. but not too much rain and too much wind. it has been raining non-stop for 3 days now in my area. i'm not worried about floods and all because we rarely get one, but i'm really worried about those areas where it easily gets flooded. i still can't get over thinking what happened in ondoy. 30 days worth of continuous rain practically dumped in the metro in less than a day.
everytime it would rain hard, my mom would ask me to call everyone (my siblings) up. because my sister's family was among those who got devastated and trapped in the floods.
back in my primary school days, we were really happy during typhoons and classes were suspended. because our place had never been devastated by such storm, i didn't know how much other areas got affected. since learning about it, i never wished for storms just to have our classes suspended.
unfortunately, work is not easily suspended by the hard rain unlike while still in school. traffic and floods are the worst to combat with going to and from the office. now that i work at home, it's the electricity which is another concern during the rainy season. there would be more power interruptions when storms brew.
i just hope everyone is safe in their respective weathers at their own places. tc!

It is soooo hot and muggy today. It is 105 degrees and the humidity index is high here. Pheew it is hard to breath.
As for the rain, I like it sometimes but not all the time, as if it rains today it would only get hotter and muggier. So unless I am indoors I prefer it not to rain. Though I must say the landscapes must really enjoy it.

A friend once told me that she loved the rain becuase it cleanses everything and makes everything clean again. Though I somewhat agree with her, I am not actually fond of rains. My mood becomes darker and I fell more lazier compared to a sunny day. I have to pull myself together in attempt not to curl back in my bed. If I go outside, I have more chances of getting wet (which I don't like) and I have to carry the inconvenience of having an umbrella. But I think rain is something that we live by and it has its own advantages. I agree that less people are getting out when it's raining, probably becuase they don't want to get sick.
