I'm a guy, and i find that high heel shoes would be very uncomfortable, looking at some women trying to achieve 1 meter of distance walking on heels look uncomfortable. Some females do agree that it is uncomfortable. How do you ladies cope with it? Or are you just naturally comfortable with high heels? Also if you do wear high heels and, have discomfort, what makes you want to pursue and continue wearing high heels even with such problems? check out the image below

I am a female. And I do hate wearing it too. However, it's included on our dress code that we should have at least 1 inch heels on our school shoes. It is indeed so uncomfortable to wear but I have no choice. However, as time goes by, I used to wearing it already but it does not mean I enjoyed it.

I guess that is very true, you just have to have at least one of every type of fashion accessory just in case. But as I mentioned above, always represent yourself with however you look. If you do that, you will always look good.

High Heels - High Heeled Shoes
High heels are really uncomfortable to those who are not used to wearing them. I am one of those who are not comfortable wearing high heels. It is like a torture to me so I avoid using them. But there are those who are very comfortable and do not really find it hard to wear high heeled shoes all the time.

. That's cool, most men don't like it when women look taller than them during a date. For the women who are comfortable with it, to me they still kinda look awkward when walking, seems like they are like walking up the stairs depending on the height of the heels. But if your happy, always be proud and represent how you look, with or without heels!

I bought a pair of clear gel cushions for the feet.you stick them at the foot bed,and it makes the balls of your feet more comfortable wearing high heels.I had a pair of brown wedges a few days ago, which elevates my height quite dramatically.when I stick my gel cushions on the foot bed,it made me feel comfortable.I will buy another pair of gel cushions so I can be more comfortable wearing my 4-inched booties.I prefer wedges over heels though.

That's an excellent idea. I tried gel insoles in my shoes one time. I felt really slippery ha ha. I'm wondering though, are you having a similar feeling, slippery I mean. Especially at the angle that high heels get you. Wouldn't you slide forward most of the time? But great Idea, I hope the ladies in this discussion find this useful. Thanks for your idea.

i agree, i try to practice to wear heels but i just cant master it.. lol.. when i go to work i would bring flipflops or flats then just change with my heels when im there.. it could become so uncomfortable if you walk around the town or the mall with heels.. i wonder how other girls do that. but if i wear heels, i think it could add to my appearance and the way I walk.. lol p.s. i have read from readers digest years ago that women who wear heels will develop strong knees when they grow old..

It's a true challenge indeed Ha Ha. I usually tend to tease friends who try high heels and has obvious difficulty with them. I usually go, "lets have a quick race, winner gets dinner, first one up the stairs win." I could possible agree with readers digest about strong knees, but so do squats =p. Thanks for the post and keep practicing, but for women i suggest 3 inch heels max, it offers the same charisma but not the same difficulty.

That is a nice picture, although i am not even sure if that is a shoe. Well actually i do find it attractive to girls who wears high heels as long as it fits them well and they can manage to walk fine with it. They look elegant and formal specially if it goes well with their attire which makes them super gorgeous. At least in my opinion. Have a nice day specially to all the ladies out there, keep wearing them.

Ha Ha, i don't think its a legitimate pair of shoes, however it does represent the idea and pain of the shoes =p. I like moderate high heels on women, when it passes lets say 3 inches, i think its ridiculous and the whole time i'll be waiting for someone to twist their ankle (sarcastically).

Well, i wear high heels with 3" at the maximum. Higher than that, i really cannot wear anymore. I wear high heels at the office and for me, i am most comfortable with it when i am at the office. I can even go around the mall first, second and third floor after lunch, to avoid sitting down again after lunch. However, having to walk all day in it, will really be uncomfortable and hurting to the feet, specially in the front soles.

Yea, i definitely find women women to struggle with 3 inches or higher heels. Not unless you have been professional with them as it seems you are ^^, for example Cameron Diaz was running around in extremely high heels yesterday at an award show. She was even skipping landing perfectly each step. Thanks for the reply.

Ha ha, excellent picture indeed, though extreme, it perfectly depicts high heels and the discomfort that people see when they see people walking with high heels, as well as the discomfort when wearing high heels. Usually beauty via appearance is best ankle up in my opinion =p. But thanks for the post, the picture does make my feet hurt too

It is all about vanity; we like feeling pretty. Some high heels are just extremely too high and that makes them dangerous and unhealthy for your feet and bones. Unfortunately, we women choose to continue to suffer in silence in order to look glamorous. Sometimes, you will see women walking in the mall from one end to the other from store to store, with high heels on, I seem say within myself, what a crazy choice they have made because you can see them walking very uncomfortably. Why not be comfortable when going out to shop? Well, I just beauty before using your brain is the answer.

no, I don't enjoy at all wearing high heels. they kill my legs I think. though high heels are able to up grade women appearance (some said that wearing high heels can make the women look sexier..LOL), but there are some disadvantages of wearing high heels such as giving too much force for the toes cos they will hold the weight of your body. the second high heels also make blood circulation throughout the body dampened. it's not good of course. moreover you can get accident if you wear high heels carelessly. the effect can be so bad. wearing high heels also makes us getting tired easily. as a woman, I'm myself also so wonder to women who keep wearing high heels due to the inconvenience they make. I prefer wearing sport shoes or flat shoes. I never had high heels and I don't have any plannings to buy them. the highest shoes I ever had is only 5cm and I seldom wear them. slippers are much more comfortable..

There are high heeled shoes that are very comfortable, the girl just has to choose what type of shoes fit her. I am comfortable in high heeled shoes, but not too high. I have worn them since i was like, 12 or 13.. I mostly wear step-ins since platform shoes and stilettos make my feet hurt.

I am quite short so I like to wear heels and yes, they can be very uncomfortable especially those closed shoes, so I choose step-ins- sandals with no cover n the back since they are much more comfortable. I've been wearing heels for a long time so I am very comfortable in it, I can even run in it.

You are right way2vision, high heels are really very uncomfortable. I am a short lady but never accustomed with wearing high heels even if I am working at the office. Just to comply with the trend and the office attire, I may wear a half inch heels but not the higher one. I am very happy that the trend change as of the moment, office girls here prefer to use flat shoes or sometimes wedge shoes. Heels do adds pride to the one who wears it, but never mind, i still prefer comfort.

I have never been able to wear high heel shoes! I guess I am like a bull in a China shop! Not only that they are notorious for creating bunions in your later years. Good luck to those who can wear them and wear them high!!!

Hi, I'm Marta. well I can tell you that high heels can prove themselfs very annoying and hard to cope with them. The secret is how exactly where those high heels made and whether we chose the write number or not, whether we actually feel comfortable or not. If they are good manufactured and we chose the write number, then it shouldn't be any problem. Platforms are really , really more comfortable then those high heels without it, because when we don't have platforms, we feel every bump on the road. But whether they hurt us or not , we still wear them, so that we could look more beautiful, so that we could attract more views from you guys.:)). Eve if they are uncomfortable ,but there wasn't our number , but we really love the design, in the end... we will do the bad chose and buy, just because we love them and we really want to show the to the person we love or to show them off to everyone else. I think that would be all. Maybe more people will share their opinions about this.:))

Here in our country where the average height of women is 5'2" to 5'3", they wear it for obvious reasons. They want to add some inches to their height. Its a plus factor when you're tall, i think. I stnad 5'6" but i still wear heels. It changes the way i walk. Builds some confidence in me and i feel sexy while wearing it. And it looks good with almost any type of clothing.

It is totally uncomfortable for me but most of the time women wear it for appearance. Largely because they want to look good and they just can't resist wearing such beautiful shoes. It makes them feel confident if they think they look good.

Of course that in the first times that the girl wear high heels is very uncomfortable, but with the time you get used and then you can't live without it, because wearing high heels makes the woman taller and thinner, the both things the women most want.
