Hi rhejans. Yes, I have used herbal medicines and have had success with them. About 8 years ago I was sent to specialists by my regular Dr. The Drs I went to said I would have to have a colostomy as well as many synthetic medicines. Well, I went for a second opinion, and then a 3rd opinion, and they all said I would have to have this surgery. I decided to go to see a 4th Dr, who was a regular MD, but he also studied herbs and homeopathy. I figured, can't hurt, might help, and decided that if it truly helped, I would stick with it, and if it didn't, then there was always the surgical option that they all seemed to think I needed. I'm very happy that the combination of herbals and homeopathic meds did the trick, and I never did have to have the operation. I do believe that in certain cases, it is definitely worth the try with the more natural herbal medicines. I found that that kind of therapy worked better than the conventional medicines I was receiving for the problem, and that I didn't have any side effects to report. I seem to develop a lot of medication allergies with the synthetic ones, but as of yet, I have not had any allergies, side effects, or anything else with the herbals. Bless you too!

Herbal medicine is one of those great ideas that don't work so well in practice. Now I'm not talking about the effectiveness of the medicine, but the supply chain! Many popular herbal remedies go out-of-stock on a regular basis - that is where it is available at all! As you must appreciate, herbal medicine is not a quick cure, but needs to be taken regularly for long periods, especially for depression and such illnesses. Unavailability makes it almost useless. It is so sad that most of mankind doesn't have access to this type of medicine.
