Absolutely not. :(
The best, and most healthy way to lose weight is to eat a proper diet and exercise.
Don't be lazy or impatient! You could end up damaging your body and health by trying to lose weight in an improper manner.
My best advice is to consult your doctor about this issue. He can help you work out a healthy diet and exercise plan to help you lose weight. Also, he can give you more information on the dangers of losing weight the wrong way.
There just isn't a healthy way to lose weight "quick". It takes determination and effort. Not laziness, impatience, and pills (or starvation)... :(

You're very welcome cole585! :-)
There are many supplements, vitamins, juices, drink mixes, etc... out there for those who do not get enough nutrition from fruits and vegetables. :-)
If you aren't sure how to go about losing weight, please consult your doctor. He can help! :-) He can give many suggestions on what to do, and everything he suggests will be in your best interest! :-)

No, definitely not.. not eating is not healthy and it is not a good practice to lose weight. You should still eat, but only light foods and more veggies and fruits. Starving yourself is a big no no to dieting. Just exercies and eat right.

Skipping dinner for a full week will not be a healthy approach as what will you then do after the week is over. You will unbalance your metabolism and stomach and when you return back to eating dinner you will over do it, is my thought.
What I would suggest is that you cut down and or eat healthier 3 meals if possible and skip any cola sugar type drinks and resort to drinking a lot of water. You may also want to include some form of exercise like walking to start.
As long as you do the above with consistency you will loose weight. You need to raise your metabolism and that can only be done if you begin a total healthy eating lifestyle change.
Good luck and hope you can meet your goal.

It is okay not to eat your dinner as long as you don't starve yourself. Starving makes you want to eat more, and if you are not careful with what you eat, you might just gain more pounds than shed them. You can snack on fruits when you go hungry.
Here are some foods that help you burn fat and calories.
-Fruits rich in Vitamin C. You burn fat more if you have sufficient Vitamin C in your body. You can eat strawberries, tomatoes, spinach and citrus fruits.
-Drink lots of water and milk. Water quenches your thirst and helps prevents dehydration, which can slow down your metabolism. Milk is an important source of calcium and vitamin D which also slows down metabolism.
-Eat breakfast. You might want to eat eggs in the morning. The morning meal is important to boost your metabolism and increases your energy that you'll use for the day.
-Eat fish. They are rich in protein and omega-3 fatty acids which regulates blood sugar levels and leptin which control appetite and promote weight loss.

A proper diet coupled with exercise will help you shed those extra pounds!
Good Luck on your weight loss!

Yeah, more nutritious food and less rice. However this should be suggested to getting older individuals since their digestive system becomes slow to break down carbohydrate molecules while young ones can still benefit from eating a lot from carbohydrates. Stick with proper diet and remember that any excessive amount of a kind of food is bad. Diet and exercise is the key to lose weight.

Shrink your stomach by eating less calories at each meal. Know how many calories you are eating. Eat more fruits and vegetables. Drink more water especially before each meal and wait 30 minutes before eating. Do more exercise. Walk briskly at least 30 minutes each day. Good success!

Hie absolutely i can help you in this Discussion. See there is no need to stop eating your dinner or lunch the effect you have already seen that there is usual metabolism this will probably help you in losing weight but will knock doors on some new health problems. If followed a proper diet you weight will reduce deliberately and there is no need for you to cut on dinners provided you do a good exercise and periodically practice it. First of all cut down your meat products in diet include lot of vegetables this the key step in reducing weight secondly eat less junk foods and drink lot of water at least more than a litter should go in your body this will help in metabolism rate. No coming to exercise so lot of abb exercise then reducing fat exercises like running outdoor games and so on. if you follow just accordingly iam sure you will see good results in your weight reduction program Good luck to you

I have resorted to this method and I am doing fine. I eat a light snack earlier in the evening and wind up the day with a glass of hot milk and fruit. I always feel one should start with a heavy breakfast, good lunch, some snacks in the evening and go light in the night.

Skipping a meal is a big NO-NO when it comes to losing weight. You have to eat more healthy and avoid fats instead of avoiding meals, because, as you already know, you will screw your metabolism.
It's important too to do exercise in order to burn the calories you're eating, of course. Losing weight isn't something that happens from one day to another, but if you eat properly and exercise you should be able to lose weight graudally

Hi!
To lose weigh just by skipping meal will not be sufficient. You need to combine exercise to make it work. Actually if you eat a lot in the breakfast and lunch, it will still be the same even though you skip the dinner. What you need to do is too study what you take and control the calories that you take on each meal and try to maintain the calories intake that less than 200, and if you can maintain that, you will be able to see some result in one or two week.

eating in moderation at all meals is the key along with increased physical activity. Cutting a meal, like dinner will make you feel more hungry in the morning then you will be more apt to eat more calories. Increase the amount of water that you drink, and cut the sodas and juices. Just by cutting soda i lost 8 pounds in about 2 and a half weeks. Cut some of the carbs and add lean protein. If you feel like you have to snack, try water first then a handful of nuts, like almonds or pecans.

Not eating dinner does no good to your body. I have heard from some nutritionist saying that if you don't eat normally, like three meals a day, your body will absorb nutritions in food (as well as the things that make you fat) more easily. You may turn out become fatter even if you don't eat dinner.
I read from newspaper that many female stars in my area choose to have their dinner everyday before six or seven at night. After that they will eat nothing even when they feel hungry and they will simply drink water.
Besides that, they try to reduce the starch and sugar intake everyday, that is, to avoid eating food which have very rich starch in it, like potatoes and rice (A famous star in HK, Chow yun fat, also said he lost weight of 5 kg in three weeks by noting eating rice). I know that eating potatoes or something is like daily routine in your country, but when I was studying abroad, adopting the same eating style with you guys, I got 10 pounds fatter after few weeks. (ooops! 10 pounds is really very much for a girl) You can try eating salad instead. (You may feel hungry, though, but you have to insist, right?)
You also mentioned something about metabolism, which you can do at least two more things to lose your weight, that is, to drink more warm water (don't directly drink water from water pipe, boil them first!), which can help you to clean your body and discharge the body waste. In addition to this, do some exercise, like jogging, which can speed up your metabolism.
Go ahead and try you best. Be careful of your health and I believe you can make it!

To be honest, diet doesn't really do much if you want to lose weight compared to exercise. The food you eat is only the fuel for energy you need for every workout so you must carefully monitor your intake and control your portions. I'm in need of a diet program myself. My old classmate did offer me some products for weight loss. It's a shake that you'll take at breakfast and lunch. At dinner time, you can have anything as long as it's not junk food, no rice and no bread. Food supplements are included too. They certainly work and I'd like to try them if they weren't that expensive.

no, that is definitely not a good thing to do, starving yourself won' make you lose weight and might endanger your health too. You can just eat all fruits and vegetables, and just eat a little fish to balance it. You can exercise daily too, jog and walk 10 000 steps.

Terrible idea because not eating can tend to cause a weight gain as opposed to food loss however you can trim your diet and exercise a lot to help reduce weight.
