I had someone today ask what was the age in which "THE TALK" should occur?

I really felt bad because I have a boy and I know its got to be a totally different conversation with a daughter. So I'd like to maybe help and get a little more insight into what age "THE TALK" should occur with a daughter.

I have always eluded to the talk with my girls. Small talks about babies and love. No real details at first then as they got older more age appropriate details. One the oldest's period started we had a more in depth talk but I haven't gone into all of the physical details. I am waiting until there is interest in boys then I will go into it with her. Right now at 12 she could care less about boys and dating. Her sister is 10 and I may need to have the talk with her sooner as she has question after question!
