Are we not allowed to discuss controversial subjects?

I find that certain discussions get deleted, and they are the ones that have to do with conflicts in my area. What am I not allowed to talk about. I'd like to know what to avoid.

what discussion u post and got deleted. there are certain discussions which may awoke certain kind of a social security concern for these ppl. so that might be the reason for deleting. this forum is for posting some good discussion and not socially conflicting one.

I thought discussions only got deleted if they were against guidelines? maybe someone was offended and reported it?
