How much do they pay for your cans in your part of the world?

Hey there so I was driving by this recycling shop on the way to walmart and I saw their sign saying they pay $1.95 for your cans per pound. That's 20 cans for $1.95 that's a good deal! Lol made me want to go out and collect cans! How much are they paying for your cans? If anything would anyone consider selling their cans to others if they got more money for them in their state? I think I would consider selling mine I mean if someone can get more money in some other state and you can get a little more than what you would sell them for in your state by the other party and they still make a profit i'd say that's a win win! Anybody have any thought on that?

Yes, we get paid ten cents for every single drink container sold in this state, so that is a good deal you have there - nearly as good as mine! The thing to watch is the calibration on their scales, just make sure you weigh your cans before you take them there! Whether it be plastic, aluminium, glass or cardboard, just take it into a recycling centre & get ten cents for each one down here. I've been collecting for years. I can earn more money this way than online! Scrap metal is worth even more money. Copper currently pays $7.50 per kilogram, for example, but I hear it's nearly double in China!
That's an interesting idea to trade between states. Down here, there's a law against doing that - the fine is around $15000 if you are caught. It's difficult to police, but I wouldn't risk it! Too many people with camera phones around.
Keep On

Copper is what I've been dealing in for years.
House wiring here has very little copper in it. You don't want "high voltage, low current" wiring. What you need to look out for is "low voltage, high current" wiring. Automotive is one of the best for that. Battery cables are best - the positive red wire to the starter motor is over two meters long on old Fords & about a centimetre thick. I can get about 30kg a day from the wrecking yard - that's an easy $225! A big, strong bloke like you could carry much more, I'm sure! Then you need time to strip & prepare it, which is easy enough when you're single, nearly impossible when you're married like me! So go the wrecking yards, but beware of their individual policies - some are wise to it!

That is a really good deal. I have not saved cas and took them in for money for a long time. We do not have a place to go to anymore that is worth the trip since gas is so high now.

That really sucks! I say you put them on ebay or something maybe somebody will buy them! I wonder if they would hmmm and yeah that gas thing sucks as well its a few cents under $4.00 here per gallon how much is it there? They really need to lower the gas its 2 dang expensive! Only good thing about 1 gas station *76 station* is the promotion they have going on about filling up 4 times for a total of 40 gallons or something like that and u get a voucher for 2 free dodger tickets I got me a voucher in the mail the other day woot woot! Lol
