I heard Godse was also right as Gandhi was giving muslims too much importance and caused hindus much damage so Godse killed him. What do you think?

Killing someone is not a new thing. Do not think that it only happens with India and Pakistan. Look around the world, there are many countries that fought bloody wars. I think Muslims and Hindus are very sensitive with their religions..that's the main problem. I m living in Kerala, a state at the southern tip of India, with three communities of peoples(Hindus, Christians, and Muslims) residing here. I think, to an extent we are living in harmony here..

Well, whatever was the reason, he should not have taken the law into his own hands. Unsatisfied with the policy of the head of the nation, there is always a proper venue to voice out any grievances by way of the ballot box and not through bullets. What did he gained gunning down Ghandhi?

At that time the british were tried to make muslims that they are not secure in india and made them believe that they should go for the partition. gandhi was trying to make them feel that both hindu and muslims are equal and there is no need for partition. Godse should have raised his concerns rather than killing him. killing is no solution, he shouldn't have taken laws into his hands. during partion so many people lost their lives, people being killed, women been raped there been such horror that even speaking about it still scares the hell out of person. so many villages been burnt. It was a horrorful period and i wish it never repeats.

I don't think Gandhiji was giving importance to Muslims. He was trying to avoid the partition, for this he want to be close with Muslims. That's a wrong interpretation of the Hindus...
