Some good licks and scales to dance to

I play piano and other keyboard instruments like the Melodica and Keytar and I was wondering if there are some scales or licks i could use for dancing purposes. Like if I have my melodica (basically a wind-powered mini keyboard) and I want to entertain a small group of people, are there any scales I can improvise in that give a nice groove? If you play another instrument you could still tell me the scales and I could just transpose it for keyboard. Thanks in advance, happy music-making and happy myLotting!
