Is it possible that the length of a person's hair could have anything to do with pleasing God?

First off I want to WELCOME you to Mylot. I will try and clear this up since I am sure you are talking in the Bibical sense. In the 1950's while I was a child my Aunt who was Pentecostal had long hair. But they always kept it up in a bun. You could always tell as most of the women wore their hair this way in that church. I never saw my Aunt with her hair down that I ever remember. My Grandparents were Assembly of God. Again my grandmother had hair down to her knees but kept it up in a bun to go about her daily work. During the time I went to this church when I visited and stayed with them, twice a year that I can remember they had a ritual of washing the elders feet with their hair. Grandma in the 1960's was going to church and they traveled up a gravel road. Somehow the door of their truck opened and Grandma fell out of the truck on her head. The doctors had to shave her head to get all the gravel out and do stitches. I had never seen my grandmother not have her hair. Within 2 years her hair was long and back to her knees. I always thought because Grandma was so spiritual and never said an unkind word to anyone or I never heard her curse a word, or even talk back to her husband, that God graced her back with her full head of hair. When I turned 15 I went to work at a nursing home run by Carmelite nuns. They were very cloistered and lived in full habit and completely known by way of a very simple life. They were all nurses and always cared for others. From what they told me and I always listened to every story eagerly, they said that hair was viewed as a vanity and upon becoming a Bride to God (full nun) their hair was shaved and they then put on the full habit. I can even remember Sister Ursula that worked in the office tell me one day that she was worried with the new ways coming in their life that she would have to get a "Vig" I looked at her and said WHAT? She pointed to her head and said a Vig a Vig. I started laughing and said you mean a WIG! She was from Germany and could not pronounce the W sound. She was afraid they would shorten the veil and she would have to get a wig for hair. Bless her. I remember in 1969 going to a review to possibly go to St Marys LPN school. This too was run by nuns. When I met the nun, she had on a flimsy piece of veil, a nurses uniform, and after being around nuns in full habit for the last 3 years and all my respect, I did not do very well on the review because I did not respect her. I had NEVER seen a nun not in full habit before and I was shocked and speechless. Now to answer you on the Bibical sense, go to Luke 7 verse 36 to 44 in the Bible and it will tell you about the woman and the washing of the feet. I don't think God will hate or love us anymore no matter what the length of hair we have. I think it is how each religion and church decide to interpret the Bible and do rituals of the Old Testament to teach the values of the history of the Bible. Hope I have helped you understand a little more of what I know on this subject.

WHAT??? How can you say that? Do you really think God has a way of judging people by their looks? What about people with thin hair who find it hard to keep it long even if they want to? What about little children who undergo chemotherapy?
