Hello fellow MyLotters,
Lately, I have been thinking about writing articles online to earn extra cash. I have known there were sites out there for this, and I have signed up to a few in the past... but I have never really participated much. I didn't really know what to write about and what not.
However, now I think I am ready to start writing articles. The thing is, I don't know which site would be the best for me.
I want a website that is easy to use, and pays well.
Also, I have a few questions. Are there any article writing sites that pay per hit and well as pay per other things such as likes and comments, etc...?
Please give me all the information, tips, and suggestions you have. If you think it will help me, just put it in a response. :-) I am all ears, and ready to hear about any information you have to offer!
Thanks so much friends! :-)

There are many and the ones I use are Triond and Squidoo, I won't say they are the best but what I can add is that no matter which one you opt for you need to remember that they do not earn strictly on their own.
Publishing them is merely the first step, thereafter you have to share them so you can get views, likes and or comments. Not hard to do but it is a bit of work at first.
There may be some sites you can sell your articles for one fee, the ones I am on are residual income sites.

Thanks hardworkinggurl,
I have joined Triond, and have been doing pretty well my first couple of days. I have on been working on it for about 2 or 3 days now, and I already have about 800 impressions/views. Sadly, I have only earned 7 cents. :(
I am not sure why my earnings are so low considering the amount of articles I have, and the number of views.
I even have about 200 comments in all, and over 300 likes in all.
Hopefully, I will see an increase in my earnings. If not, I'd say I'd be better off spending my time typing here on MyLot, as right now... it seems like I make more on MyLot in one day than I do in a couple of days on there.
Maybe I am just being impatient, and have not waited long enough to see my real earnings. I really hope they will have increased soon. :-)

I personally have had great luck with Associated Content. I find that I can do well there if I submit articles daily. I also find that I like the upfront payment plus the page view payments. I would suggest that if you are interested in writing online you check it out. I tried Helium and didn't like it, but I do also write for Triond. I just do not make as much money there.

There are many options for you and everything depends on your goals and interests. If you want to try freelancing sites, i would suggest PPH(PEOPLE PER HOUR)or Odesk. If you want to write articles for sale, ConstantContent is perfect. Even though CC editors are strict do not give up.

I was writing at associated content, but don't have time anymore. They pay according to how good the content that you write is. Plus by how many hits you get.

The site that I make the most money with each month is actually a article writing site. Its called associatedcontent. They pay you upfront for your articles which can be anywhere from 3 dollars to 20. Usually I get around 4-7 dollars per article. They also pay you money per 1000 page views. They more page views that you get the higher the clout level you obtain. When you reach higher clout levels you get more money per 1000 page views. You can make up to 2.00 per 1000 page views. I make at least 18 dollars a month even if I dont write anything, that is just in page views. I would highly recommend this site and it is free to sign up.

Thank you for your suggestion! I will definitely take the time to check that website out, as it seems like it may be something I could work with.

My favorite is Associated Content / Yahoo! Contributor Network. they pay decent and you can write articles, reviews, poetry, and even get paid for slideshows. For articles you can get paid either up-front (a small amount for publishing an original article there first), per page views (they start out at $1.50 per thousand page views), or both.
I also write for Factoidz sometimes as well. They only accept original articles but you can re-publish them after 30 days. I usually only write there if I submit an article for up-front payment at AC/Y!CN and it gets declined. Then, after 30 days of the article being live on Factoidz, I re-publish on AC/Y!CN.
If you'd like to join either of these sites, I would be happy to message you the links where you can join and answer any additional questions you might have. Best wishes!

I have personally tried odesk.com
The contractors there are rated by their paying reputation as well and a lot require writing articles or re-writing some. And you get paid something like a dollar for each rewritten articles. That's 10 articles for $10.
I re-wrote articles twice. I finished the job and got paid by my contractor but I soon found that I just didn't have the time for anything else. Because my contractor would usually require a week at the most for me to finish the job. But I just can't do that for I do not spend the whole day online. I may be a stay-at-home mom, but I still do other work here at home. :D

I have been paid by Helium, triond, and reviewstream. However, I know that other people have had different experiences. I tend to focus on reviewstream, although Helium might make the most money for most people.

I write for a site called Squidoo.com. Its really cool you can make very pretty lenes (web pages) I love Squidoo and have been there for the past two years. They do pay you and you can make as much or as little as you want for your Lens. The more effort you put into it the more you will be rewarded.

Well, I advice you to begin here. Because mylot is the best place to start with and you can make good some cash here if you consistently do your best. There many websites that we can make money just by writings. But before that just embolden your skills here to explore anywhere when you are good enough

See,different people has different views about it.Some may like triond or others may like squidoo. It all depends on the authors comfort level, which site the author is most comfortable to write.
If you have good writing skills and have the ability to deliver good quality and unique content then you you can join any of these sites. They all give you good decent money if your content is good.

Hi angelee_27. Aside from mylot, I also joined Triond a few weeks ago. I think it's a good site. You can write anything under the sun. You can also make friends. Just don't be disappointed if your earnings are slow at first. I've read a lot about it, and their advice, not to be impatient. Just keep on writing. We can be friends at triond, I am plumaatpapel in triond, please add me as your friend. I'l read your articles, and read mine also.
