Hey Mylotters!
How are you? I know many would go on photography or like to look on pictures..
What do you usually look at in taking pictures? What are your common subjects?
And if you are the spectator, what do you like in a picture?

I love photography and do it as a hobby. I would love to get into it professionally one day. I used to be a cosmetologist and loved makeup so I do fashion photography. I only use my sister and myself as models for now, but I've done some landscape photography and some animal work. I have a one year old son now, so I've started doing some shots of him also. I love black and white and retro photography.

I love taking picture landscape of nature, beach, sunrise and sunset. I use my kit lens with vocal lenght 18-55mm for that. When I shoot model, I only like silhuette so I dont really like to shoot a model full face or sexy model.. LOL. I have another lens that I use for macro, I have fix lens 50mm f/1.4 with extention tube. I shoot flower, water drop, and miniatur of people or toys.

I like to take photographs of almost anything that catches my eye and that varies, depending on what I am doing and what my mood is at the moment.
One of my favourite subjects are usually close-ups of small things which many people overlook. I feel that the people who see and appreciate my photos should, perhaps, be seeing something new or something that they haven't looked at in that way before.
I also like challenges: the challenge, perhaps, to find a good photograph in a scene which many would call ugly or of no interest, or maybe the challenge of capturing effectively a particular light or mood which I see in a subject.
Of course, I also take a lot of 'record' shots: photos of family, friends, places I've visited and so on and I also use the camera to take 'notes' of something I either am drawing or that I want to draw in the future.

For me I think since I started photography my common subject is anything that catches my attention. Sometimes I just took a picture to test my camera skill and when i look at the lcd and found it looks good i feel happy about that. Photography for me is just time freeze. capture the moment that you know it will now happen again next time

i agree with you chinhelhas.. i think that photgraphy was made not only to show a nice view or how the photographer is but also it is capturing moments.. that is why we have photographs of occasions and events that happened in our lives.. and it gives a nice feeling when we look at it and remember the times..

I mainly like shooting abstract patterns, designs, shapes etc.
What I like in a photo is good composure and details. :)
