Why do people lie?

I wonder why do people lie as most of the people in the world lie.I think people lie to enhance their self esteem and yes they even lie because they don't want to get embarrassed and sometimes they just want to prove they are better even when they are not but why should we lie we must speak the truth and whatever happens we should face it.

I hate liars. Why do you have to lie?It is easier to tell the truth especially if you know that you are doing the right thing. Lying can cause a lot of conflicts. No one will trust you anymore if you are a born liar.

Yes even i don't like liars.A liar will never ever be trusted even by his/her close ones so what is the point of lying and one must have the guts to speak the truth come may so happen.

I know one person who is a liar. I don't know but it really irritates me sometime even if she's older than me. If I can only ask her to stop lying, I REALLY WILL.

I know what you mean. Sometimes they lie about the stupidest things. Like where they bought a new dress or blouse. To me it's not important where someone gets something. My bosses lie alot too....like if you tell them something they say..I already knew that....you know they didn't! LOL....I guess it makes someone feel superior!

Yes just for the sake of being superior a lot of people tend to lie and that what irritates me.One should not show off but people like doing that and therefore they lie.Many of them lie as to carve a niche in the society but the thing is they are spoiling their image.
